i'm sure the photo pass has worked for some of you, but i'm extremely upset with it. my fiance proposed to me exactly a week ago today and it was during the pictures at MK infront of the castle. while we were going to purchase them we were told very enthuastically that we didn't have to buy them all now, we could do it when we got home on our photo pass so we only bought package of one photo.

we kept having problems with accessing our pictures so we e-mailed with complete details about the photos. and they are now telling us they can not find our photos!!!! which is pretty funny because i know they WILL find these photos! it just makes me so angry! that was one of the happiest days of my life and i wanted to remember it thru those photos and now they're trying to tell me i can't have them to purchase!? what do i tell friends and family who all wanted to pick and choose photos!!??

i'm going to call exposition hall later when they open and see what i can do about this. does anyone know anything about this? it's only been a week and even if they deleted them i'm sure there's a way to recover the files.

Disney should not have such a thing as the photo pass unless they can guarantee everyone will have a chance to view and purchase more photos!!! sorry i just had to vent!

congrats on your engagement and sorry about the photos. I wouldn't get my hopes up that they will be able to find them. Their system just seems to be lacking.

We had a similarly bad experience with photopass. We had great picks taken with Mickey in toontown. Went right into giftshop to view. We had someone else's photos. They tried to find them in their system after much wasted time we were offered to go back to front of line to retake. We were taken over to the tent and had a hassle with that. They would not admit us at the door we were taken too even with CM there. It was rather iritating for us and I was quite displeased. It didn't add to our overall experience. When we got home and viewed some photos on line we had some other families photos on one card.

OH GOSH!

Sorry about that! We just got back and i have 2 cards that we haven't check yet.
The good thing is that DH and I took the same pics with our cameras, so if we cannot get them, we still have them.

Just keep trying and keep calling them to see if they can help.

Well maybe somebody on here will have your photos. When we got back one of my cards had about 30 other families picture on it. It was the castle picture in MK. I don't have any engagement ones though LOL Congratulations on your engagement and I hope they find your photos.

I always double photo, by this i mean getting someone else to take a photo at the same time. That way one you don't have to but loads off the photopass as sometimes you could end up with loads you like but can't afford. Also sometimes your own comes out better.

Just a tip i always use.

I really hope they can find your photos please keep us updated.

Donna

Sorry about your photos. I sure hope that they can be found someway. We had many pitchures taken last December with Photo- Pass and when we came home they were all there so we were able to purchase some of them. It sure sounds like they need to get this system running a lot better.

Sorry about your pics. Congrats on the engagement! We went to MGM with another family in June. My pics came out just fine, but theirs were missing. One of their pics showed up, but the rest were no where.

Is there anyway to make sure your pictures are on your card as soon as they're taken?? And do you use the same card for your whole trip at every park???

Nothing is actually stored on the card. When the photographer swipes the card, the camera equipment READS data off of the card, and links that card ID to the photos that have been take.

Additionally, it can take up to 24 hours for the photos to be fully loaded to the PhotoPass database.

So, no, there really is no way to immediately verify the existence or quality of the photos.

And do you use the same card for your whole trip at every park???

For convenience sake you can, but you can also get multiple cards and link them all together via the PhotoPass website. It might actually be better to get multiple cards. My wife left one photo location swearing that the photographer confused our card with another group's. Sure enough, she was right. We only had 2-3 photos on ours, so it was no great loss. But the card we received was linked to 15-20 photos that were not ours.

We had a couple pictures missing on our card and I filed a missing picture report on the Photopass site and they were able to find them but it took a couple weeks. I would email them again and file another missing picture report with as much detail as you can and give them a couple weeks - Hopefully someone will find them. Don't give up - just keep trying!!

We had missing Photopass pictures--they were able to find a couple but not all of them. It was right when Photopass was first instituted, so I thought maybe it was just a glitch in the new system.. Sound like they are still having glitches!

I am so sorry your photos were lost. Hopefully, they will be found, but even if they are not....you are still engaged to your Prince Charming! :earsgirl:

Unfortunately, I had the SAME experience. Our photos in front of the castle don't exist! I was so upset about it because it was our first family trip and I really wanted the ones of the kids holding tink. I e-mailed them and got a message back they couldn't find the photos either. I didn't think to get other pictures taken. Our ones on a different photo pass took at AK.

So, basically a once in a lifetime lost photo - the only ones we have of us in front of the castle are ones that were superimposed at Epcot in the photo lab there. :( But it's not the same thing.

I'm sorry they lost your pictures, I hope that they can find them for you.

So how does Photopass work? When you get into the parks and have your picture taken do you ask for a photopass?

I am truly sorry about thenloss of your photos, but me personally if they are that important shouldn'tthey have been bought right away? That's just me I would rather buy them and if they get lost it was my own stupidity, not hoping that some underpaid cm didn't mess things up, or the computers just are being computers and lose them.

Again not trying to say you are wrong...becuase you are not...they have a service but it doesn't sounds like it works that great. I am just throwing it out there for others from here on out...hey if it's important don't wait until later to get it.

OPEN TO FLAMING....LOL

Thanks for sharing your experience. I will keep this in mind and take a shot on my own camera as well. Having lost all of my digital prints when my computer crashed earlier this year I know how dissapointing it is. :guilty:

Well, the pics aren't uploaded right away!

But something like that happend to us at blizzard beach, we had pictures taken of our girls in the lazy river and some other rides, and the guys gave us a wrist band. I didn't have a water proof camera, like we always do, anyway at the end of the day we went to the store, stood on line for like 30 minutes to view and purcharse our pics, and guess what?....

They had LOST a bunch a pictures, they put the codes of the wrist bands and the pictures were not found.

So no big deal for us, but some people were mad.

Kristy is that you? Congrats again and the pics are awesome (if it is you). If you know anyone with a good scanner and printer you can make more pics that way. :wave2: to Adam

we did that but they only took like a day and said they couldn't find them. i'm thinking that maybe somehow if i can get them my card that they can re-scan it and maybe re-upload the photos on the website? i'm gonna call them tomorrow and see what we can do.

see what happened was we wanted to purchase them at first. BUT they took about 8 different pictures of us hugging and kissing and showing off the ring. luckily i got the actul one of him asking me(with this "OMG" look on my face lol) and we wanted to buy more, but once they told us we could go on-line and purchase them we figured to do the rest that way so family and friends could pick and choose which photos they wanted.
