For our last night at Disney we want something reaallly special! It doesn't have to be at Disney but that would be prefferable. This is going to be a surprise for everyone, and we will have 8! Looking for something that maybe no one has ever heard of or knows anything about, a great surprise! Any suggestions?

What about a special character meal? Our last night we'll be heading to Chef Mickey's for the evening. Or a fireworks cruise?

It's so much fun to plan something special. I just did that for our family trip, my husband, DD, parents and inlaws have no idea that I've planned a character breakfast followed by a family tour of Magic Kingdom. It's my little surprise.

Happy Planning!

What about an Illuminations Cruise during the show at Epcot a little pricey, but soooo memorable. Great for all ages and easily kept a surprise until the last minute.
We also did a snack picnic on the beach at the Poly during Wishes. I packed a picnic of snacks and treats and asked the courier at our hotel to drop it off at bell services at the Poly. We made our way over via monorail and stopped at the beach-I said I had to use the bathroom and returned with the snacks and blanket. We spread it all out on the beach and watched Wishes-so relaxing and everyone loved it. The kids got to play on the swings and beach and the grown ups just relaxed.
You can also rent a boat at the Poly, WL, CR or GF and float around Seven Seas Lagoon for 30 or 60 min. very memorable and relaxing not too much $$$

I vote for a Wishes cruise from Wilderness Lodge...prefaced by dinner at Whispering Canyon there (depending on ages in your group and whether you have been there before). If Whispering Canyon is not for you, perhaps Artiste Point is? Pricier, but if that's not a concern and/or you have mostly grownups in your group, I'd go that route in a heartbeat.

The Wishes cruise I went on December 4th last year was simply spectacular...and it was cold! (our captain gave us all blankets so we were very comfortable) I'd go again...and again...and again...lol

Before I went I thought a fireworks cruise would be wonderful and all, but didn't think it would be something I would want to do again! Goes to show you CAN discover special magic even if you think you've seen it all!

Those all sound like great ideas but do you think the kids will get bored watching fireworks again and again, we are already doing the fireworks cruise for the magical gatherings plus wishes on main street, fantasmic, and illuminations on other nights. Any more ideas?

Well we will have 4 adults in their late 30's. A 15 year old girl, a 12 year old girl, a 12 year old boy, and an 11 year old girl.

Our last night we are going to eat at Mama Melrose's and do Fantasmic...Last year we did the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show...

You could do the campfire and movie at FW!! That sounds like a lot of fun to us we may try to fit it in one night this trip!!

What do you have planned for the last DAY...so far?...when do you leave the next day?...where are you staying?...with which park are you (also the kids) most familiar? (i.e....which park have you have done the most)...I have some special things in mind, but want to know...do you come to WDW a TON?...have you done everything or just what you thought you would like?...

I agree - do a fireworks cruise - seeing the fireworks is so different from the lake. The music is piped into the boat - it is amazing! It is just like they are doing a fireworks show just for you. When we went, we left from the Poly, went over by WL where we saw the electric water parade, then over to right in front of MK. It was THE most magical night. I have 4 children, and we had 2 boats with 10 kids in all and they were ALL thoroughly entertained - as a matter of a fact, it was my kiddos favorite memory! (MINE TOO)

So far for our last day we don't have anything planned mainly because we don't know what time we are going to leave yet, we will most likely leave early afternoon though. We don't Disney World real often, my family in 2001 and 2004 and the other family we are going with went in 2005. Our favorite park would have to be the Magic Kingdom, but we aren't nessecarily doing it the most. I really need those ideas! We are wanting something special, a real treat, that you would never think would happen, as a total surprise to the kids. I'm looking forward to what ideas you have! Thanks!

Boys..girls...and their ages? Two families? What kind of tickets will you have and how long are you staying? (It makes a difference what I would suggest... whether you have expiring 7 or 10 day tickets or will be using a day off a non-expiring pass.)

And answer these so we can rule them in or out:

Have you eaten in the castle? Breakfast, lunch, dinner?
Do you know who Myuki is?
Have you done DQ?
Are people in your party of eight adventurous eaters or really happiest with pretty normal food?
Have you done a pirate cruise?...again, it would really help to know the ages/genders of the kids (actually it helps to know the approximate ages of the adults too!)
Would you say you are sports nuts...or more into magic pixie dust?
Have the adults/children ever 'flown" in a wind tunnel?
Are they adventurous riders (ToT, RR, SM, SPM,MS)? ...or happier visiting tamer attractions?
Have they ridden on...or aspire to ride Segways?

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread tinkwinks123. I'm interested in what Ozymoe is going to suggest as we may need suggestions for our May trip.

A lot depends on how much you would want to spend. You could call a event planner at WDW and have a small dinner party and hire your very own characters. We have done this in the past and was a lot of fun for both adults and children.
