Very sad local story about death of child, how can this happen today? **SAD STORY**

I'm sorry to say these people live about 6 blocks from us. It is such an unspeakable tragedy for our town, The kids go to a different school than mine, so we didn't know them. I do know several people in that neighborhood, and all of them are as shocked as everyone else.

My heart just aches for this young man. How can people be so cruel?
A sad fact of life is this is not the only child suffering like this, I hate to think how many more live in h--l.

This is sickening and horrific.

The sad truth is *probably* that the mother wanted him to die so he wouldn't be a burden to her. The other kids might not have known better and not told anyone of his condition, especially if the mother was feeding them false info about his condition.

I really think you need to have a total breakdown as a human in order to inflict that kind of pain on someone else. Some kind of sociopathic breakdown or just total failure to cope.

How sad.....I can't imagine. My DS was 20 lbs at 7 months old. (chubby, yes) He now is 15 yrs old and is about 150 lbs, and does not look fat at all. I am devestated by the fact that there were other children in the house that were witness to such cruelty. I am sure they will be in therapy for many years.

For those who don't believe that evil really does exists I would suggest they read this story. I can offer no other explanation.
