Incase of what kind of attack?? I guess I am a little lost. :rotfl2:

You know the Attack that it's the only thing Women can't really take away from us Guys (without a knife ) from my previos post :lmao:

BodyGlide can be bought at most Running and Outdoor stores. It's to prevent chafing and blisters by creating an invisible layer that promotes the GLIDE be it skin or faberic.

I first bought it for DD playing soccer (she was rashing around the thighs) and I decided to give it a try one day and WOW.

I just have to say....:lmao:

This thread made me laugh! As a single mom of a DD, I never really thought about adjustment issues! I don't even know why I opened the thread but it made me laugh!

The "Paper mache issue" comment almost made me pee my pants - that was great!

(Fortunately, I'm a female so I didn't have to "check" to make sure I didn't actually pee my pants.......)

:rotfl2: I now have both snorted my coffee, and had it shoot out my nose all over my keyboard. :rotfl2:

:confused3 Who knew that this thread would be so funny?

Thanks for all the posts! I'll have to try him on boxers before we go and see what the thinks. I also like the idea of using a deoderant, since I can't seem to find Body Glide in the BFE town I live in . . . more than one "helpful" worker bee has lead me to K-Y, which I don't think would be the same . . .

I don't think I would want to put KY between my legs. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You can tell I haven't seen my hubby in about 5 days... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OMG!!! :lmao: Now I know what I get to look forward to in the next few years!! I come from a family of all girls and now I have a ds, 3 yrs old. We're going to start the serious "potty training" this summer, and now I open this thread and discover yet even more untold secrets of the "cave dwellers"!!! Great!!!

This is too funny! :rotfl2:
DH is a chronic adjuster...maybe once every 2 seconds??? I hold no hope for DS...he wants to be just like Daddy! I quit! :confused3

Ahh, the exciting things I have to look forward to as a mom to two boys! Thanks for the laugh! Let us know what works (for future mommy reference).

I am a 41 year old male. If he is anything like me, the heat has nothing to do with it. WE JUST LIKE THE FEELING OF KNOWING IT IS THERE. It's not sexual or anything else weird. My advice to you is ignore it. The bigger deal you make of it the worse it will be. Though he will get better at hiding it and suppresing the urge, it is something he will be doing for the rest of his life. Believe me.
TY, Bdg100.
This thread has been bothering me. I've been the mom of two sons and lived with DH for 16 years. I have never even NOTICED this in any of my guys. It's a boundary issue to me. Why on earth are moms so worried about every single discomfort, even normal ones?? Powder down his briefs??? Body glide?? What message are we sending????

Flame away - I think it's intrusive.

Then neither of your sons have gotten a fungal infection down there caused by heat? It's extremely common in boys. The OP was not about adjustments, it's about preventing the infection. It's like a yeast infection in women, very itchy and in my son, some of his skin was peeling. The powder and body glide were suggestions to help prevent this. Did you not read the post from the nurse?

I happen to like caring about any discomforts my son may have, that I can EASILY help correct for him. Why make him suffer? I think I'm sending a message of use common sense to take care of yourself and I'm here to help you out.

;) I agree that you need to reduce the friction rub to avoid skin irritation if he is complaining about it. The increased perspiration and warmth in that area can lead to a fungal infection or "jock itch". (I'm a nurse in a dermatology office, in case you couldn't tell!) An antifungal powder is a good idea if the area is moist and itchy, but if he just gets "sticky", the Body Glide is a good idea.

I agree that its normal for boys to make adjustments, but you seem to be picking up on the fact that perhaps he is "adjusting" more than you would expect. If the Body Glide doesn't work, let his pediatrician check to make sure he is not getting a fungal infection--just for peace of mind!

If everything checks out, then just ignore it!

Have a ball, er, a great time! :rotfl:

I guess sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't

NOPE! They haven't.

OP never mentioned that HE was bothered, only that SHE was worried about it in WDW. OP never mentioned jock itch or fungus.I suspect it's more an embarassment to her than she's worried about illness. He's 6. Are his undies/pants/ shorts/trunks too tight? Get a bigger size! That's the first thing I would think of if my sons started "adjusting" lots. I think DS(14 now) did this everytime we needed to go up a size.

My kids also just tell me if something is bothering them in any area, public or private. Maybe that's the difference. It's none of my business, if I notice, I ask.In this case, we'd have a little chat before I start with products. He may just be interested in "checking" as some have suggested, or he may need bigger clothes! NOT a big deal, IMO!

Oooooookkkkkkkkaaaaaayyyyy.

Original Poster here. What happened, was literally "my testicles are sticking to my legs" in his words. A one time thing, when we were outside, and he was hot. If he was having an issue with one part of his body sticking to the other in 80 degree Virginia heat, he was going to have issue with it in 100+ degree weather in Florida.

My issue is keeping my son as comfortable as possible in the heat. If larger briefs, powder down his shorts, body glide, or whatever is going to keep him comfortable, I am all for it.

This was never an issue of him touching his privates in inappropriate times, having fungal issues, or the like.

I thank the posters for the helpful, often humerous posts.

Mods, this thread is getting ridiculous. Please shut it down.

I just have one question...Why is it considered 'no big deal' when guys have to 'adjust', 'check', or scratch and it is just absolutely frowned upon if a woman needs to scratch the same area or the other private area...I think i can say that the other private area(of a female) has to be just as hot and sticky as a man's...

Just wondering...Also, I can say, that if it is at all possible, please try to stop the 'checking' and 'adjusting' in young boys. Most people find it extremely disgusting and inappropriate. I understand that young boys don't understand, but the older boys do....

Just my opinion, please don't flame excessively ;)
