I'm trying to book the December 5th party date, and it's already SOLD OUT? I have always gone to the Halloween party, and went to the xmas one 15 years ago or so. I haven't been since. And I had NO IDEA that early dates would sell out. I'm devastated. I only waited to purchase the tickets because they are so expensive and I was waiting to have the chunk of funds ready to pull the trigger. I've had my room booked since probably the spring, at least. This is so sad to me. Do spots open up? Any advice? I may just cancel the trip if we can't go to the party. That was the entire point of going. Please don't lay into me too much, I am the type of planner that buys/books tickets 6 months to a year in advance. I procrastinated on this one because of the steep ticket price. $433 for 2 tickets. Yikes. Plus the cost of the other two park ticket days (saturday and sunday).

Tickets will not show up on line for you to purchase but you might try calling WDW and see if there would happen to be 2 tickets available. Also on the actual day of the party some people have gone to guest services and have been able to purchase 2 tickets. Good luck!

Oh great good to know. I'll call right now as a start.

Maybe but you will need to already be in WDW to take advantage of a last minute opening for a couple of tickets. As @sbbobe posted you can stop by any Guest Services location to ask about tickets mostly on a same-day basis.

Since the party tickets are no longer physical tickets the inventory is very dynamic if guests cancel or change tickets, inventory might pop up at any time. However there is no wait-list or will call pickup at the gate.

There are currently only 3 dates that are not Sold-Out, Dec. 14, 16, and 18.

got it. I mean, at this point I can't get my points back for the DVC rental, I guess we will go but what a waste. My daughter is going to be devastated. I had no idea it sold out - I mean, I knew it would as it got closer to xmas but I never thought it would early in the month. I guess there's always next year.

Maybe we can drive straight to a guest service desk at Disney Springs. The night of the event I am driving up, because she has school that day. As it is, we will be missing part of the party from driving (and there's no parking AT the park, so that is a process in itself).

Has anyone ever seen tickets open up after listed as sold out?

Here’s hoping you will get lucky and get some tickets. Call back on future days. If you decide to cancel your trip, remember that this board has a lot of very useful information about the parties, including keeping track of sell outs. You can see here that the December 5 party sold out on Halloween. Good luck!

The last time I attended, which was a couple of years ago, the party was sold out, yet when I walked towards the entrance to go to the party I saw a sign on the ticket window that said tickets available for tonight.

Don't bother at DS go directly to the MK and check at the Guest Service windows to the right of the Tap points or check at any Ticket / Guest Services Window at the TTC before the Monorails or the Ferry. These ticket windows do close early on party days so what time would you arrive at MK or the TTC?

Why do you think that there is no parking at TTC on a party day? You are an onsite guest staying at DVC so you don't even need to pay for parking at the TTC.

I know it won't help for this year but there is a record in the Official MVMCP thread that shows when party tickets sold out for previous years.

For anyone considering attending a party it's recommended to purchase tickets ASAP as the balance of parties will likely sell out soon.

I will tell you what I did for a sold out Halloween party. I called every day from about 3 weeks before the party. I got differing information from cast members but all said to continue to try and that it would be more likely either the day before or the day of for tickets to pop up (they won’t pop up online, you have to call). Starting the week before I called twice a day. The day before the party I called every hour. That night before the party they finally had 2 tickets pop up and I bought them. Persistence is key.

Good luck! It does happen. (Obviously no guarantees).

@Goldilocks07 here's the thread for MVMCP; it shows the dates when parties sold out. Post #10 has links to the ones for previous years. I suggest that you bookmark this year's for easy access next year.

Thank you! I will do this, and hopefully go next year. For now, this could be a blessing in disguise, we are going to do the Jollywood nights which we've never done. I know it's not the same, but we struggle with the lines at HS and this will be a nice change for us.

OOOOO I love this. You are my people. I am that person that will call a million times to get what I want. I will try this as well. THANK YOU!

This is our third year attending Jollywood Night. It is a much more relaxed atmosphere than Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios is my favorite for holiday decorations.

There have been a lot of reports that Jollywood Nights have been great this year! Best of luck with MVMCP tickets, hope some availability opens up for you!
