We are heading to WDW in a matter of days. Staying at WDW (POR) but wanting to take one day to head over to IOA, mainly for HP. We've never been there, and this is my 5th trip to Orlando/WDW.
Due to some family health issues and trip changes, I haven't bought any tickets to IOA yet. All the WDW stuff is set and booked.
So, can I just buy tickets at the gate? How much time would a family need to see IOA, including the HP stuff? I need to figure out times for drop off and pick up with transportation (still need to figure that out too!). I'm assuming we will try and get there for park opening...but not sure how long we will be there.
We tossed around the idea of visiting both parks at Universal, but I don't want to run my dad down (recently had minor surgery, another issue.) And, we are going to need some down time.
Any tips? The kids are 7 and 10. My husband will love the roller coasters. We all are looking forward to the HP section.
Any help is greatly appreciated! We can't wait to get to Orlando, January has been CRAZY. And cold, very, very cold.
