Hey all !!

Its been a while since I post on here but I just had to share my excitement!

I recently moved from Miami to Orlando to be closer to my family and begin a full time nursing program and I have been having a difficult time finding a job that will work around my school schedule....well!! I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow at the casting center to work in one of Disney's table service restaurant! The position open right now is just as a hostess...but hopefully I can move my way up to server (which I already have experience in ) I am very excited and just had to share my joy with people I thought could understand my excitement!!

YAY! Wish me luck!!

Good luck! Do you know what restaurant it will be for...or do they just hire you in general and then place you later?

(I realize you will not want to say the name of the restaurant here if you do indeed know which one it is...but I was just wondering if you know).

I have always been curious as to how you get to and from a job in the parks. Like, is there employee parking and you ride a tram to the park? Do you have to go into a secret entrance?

Hope you get the job!

Good Luck on the interview :thumbsup2

GL! I am a server at a nice restaurant now and would love to work at a place in WDW one day!

Thanks everyone for the pixie dust **** I do not know which restaurant specifically they are interviewing for...the title of the position is listed as a Part Time Food & Beverage - Restaurant Seating ... which is basically a hostess position :) I'm hoping it is a good way to get my feet in the door to become a server !

Update :( ... I went in for my interview today and unfortunately I must have 100% availability at least 3 days a week and my school schedule is Monday through Friday..I inquired about maybe a seasonal but the needs 100% schedule availability for the first 2-3 months of employment and then they can accommodate schedule...so no Disney for me :( I am very bummed out about this...My interviewer was very nice and said he would have been willing to hire me today, had I met the schedule requirements....Boo :(

I'm sorry that you couldn't get the position.

Perhaps there's another cm job that can work around your schedule? The restaurant one did sound nice, though.

Ohhh, I am so sorry! See...if it were *ME*...I woulda dropped some classes so I could work there.

This is the attitude/work ethic that kept me from graduating college! LOL.
Anyway...I have a feeling it will work out eventually!

That happened to my daughter when she was down in FL too. She was trying to get hired by SeaWorld - she had already worked there the summer before in the internship program. They told her that she had to be available M - F and one weekend day, but they could not guarantee her how many hours of work they would give her. She already had a job in a fast food restaurant and needed to pay her rent and other bills, so she could not take the Sea World job.

So sorry that it didn't work out for you either.:sad2:
