Anyone tried this stuff? Love it - hate it??? It is a clear ink (I assume) and you can stamp on colored paper and it will show up a couple of shades darker than the color of the paper, or you can use it for embossing. My cousin made me a card using this and she is having a Stampin' Up party on Sunday. Any idea how much a pad would cost?

Thanks! :wave2:

Great stuff!!!!
Can't remember the price (it would be Canadian even if I did remember it) but it wasn't unreasonable!

Love it :cool1: You can also heat emboss with it (works great with colored embossing powder) and use it for brayer resist projects. I don't have my catalog at work with me so I can't give you $$ You can also find it at Michaels

Versa-Mark

I don't know about how much it is from Stampin UP, but I paid $3.50 for a refill bottle (2 oz) at Michaels or ACMoore to use with my stamp pad. I got the stuff that was tinted blue since I only use it for embossing. I can't imagine it will be too much different in price from that.

LOVE IT!!! I think from SU you are going to pay a little more than at a store. My local LSS has it for 5.25 and BEn Franklins was around 6.00. I use it alot.

1) for water marks on colored paper
2) for embossing
3) chalk popping -stamp then run chalk over it with your fingers and it grabs the chalk
4) and I'm sure more buit my brain isn't working right now.

I love the stuff. I think it is 5.95 or 6.95. I use it for heat embossing all the time. I also use it as a resist since I think that effect is cool. I have also used it with the heat and stick powder to adhere glitter to the page. I like that effect as well.

As a side note, I just signed up to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator today. I'm only going to do it as a hobby to save ME some money. I'm not planning on hosting workshops, etc. :cheer2:

I just checked my catalog and it is 7.50. You can probably find it cheaper at michaels or the like. Do look for the VersaMark brand (black case with a heart logo). I have tried other similar looking products, different brands and do not like them as well. Along with all the other ideas given, you can also stamp with the VersaMark and then use pastels and sponge daubers (or q-tips) to pat the pastels into the ink and it makes a neat soft effect. If you are going to a party and need something to order this is a useful and versitile item.

Just learned about it, thought it was just for embossing, but now I know otherwise. LOVE IT, buy it at any craft or Scrap store that has stamping stuff.
