Vero-Fri after Tgiving thru Sun - anyone been?

Have only experienced Vero offseason. How crowded is it? Hard to get into area restaurants? Too cold for pool and beach? Thanks.

We went for Thanksgiving 2 years ago. It wasn't very crowded. We had no problem at restaurants. The weather was cool and we wore jeans and sweatshirts. I think we went to the pool once and walked on the beach a lot (wearing the jeans and sweatshirts). I'm sure it varies depending on the year, though. For us, we absolutely love Vero but have decided we'd like to stick with going between May and Sept.

We went at Thanksgiving a few years ago, and the weather was absolutely wonderful! The resort itself was full, but the area was not very busy. Weather was perfect for lounging at the pool. I'm not a big fan of the beach at Vero, b/c it is so narrow, and the water can be very rough (almost lost my little one there once, but that is another story).

This past(2006) Thanksgiving was in the low 80's temperature wise. Restaurants are never over crowded in Vero. Most of the snowbirds don't come down until after Dec 1st....

Thanks for the feedback. They don't overbook at Vero do they? I can see how they'd easily find another Disney hotel for you in Orlando if overbooked but Vero would be tough.
