Which airport is best to fly into when going to Vero Beach? Is it Orlando, or is there a closer one?

We've flied out of Melbourne (MLB) a couple of times - about a 40 minute drive, I think. Nice, small regional airport. I know Delta flies there - that's what we flew.

West Palm is also an option....a different direction than Orlando but not that much closer.

Melbourne is small and easy to navigate. However, if I want a non-stop flight, I have to use MCO. As pp states, MElbourne is about 40-45 minutes go the Vero Beach resort, whereas MCO is about 2 hrs. I have never flown into West Palm, but that is another option.

West Palm is a nice airport and far less crowded and hectic than MCO. Might be worth a consideration.
