We're thinking about doing Vero with our trip to BWV next summer. At BWV, we have a 2BR BW View, and I'm wondering what I should try to get at Vero. We'll be staying weekend nights, so I'm not sure if it would be better to get a 2BR or 2 OCV Inn Rooms. For 2 nights, it's 144 for the 2BR or 116 for the Inn Rooms. What would you do?

I would go for the 2 OV Inn rooms, you would have a better chance of having an ocean view in the Inn. It would also save you 28 pts.

How important are in-room laundry, a full kitchen and whirlpool tub? For a short trip it might not be as important as a week stay.

You probably would do just fine with the two OCV Inn rooms. But if you have the points, my call is go for the two bedroom, enjoy being together and enjoy comparable amenities for your entire vacation.

But this is advice from someone who did not buy into DVC to stretch or conserve points.

On the top floor of the VB Inn there are "complimentary" washers and dryers to use at no charge.;)

I would go for the 2-bedroom. I like having the livingroom to hang out in. Plus, I like to get up early and throw a load of clothes in the washer while I sit and relax with a cup of coffee. Another thing to take into consideration is if you would need the 2 inn rooms to be connected. They don't have too many rooms that are connected and they won't guarantee them.

Does anyone know about how many two-bedroom villas have an ocean view? Also, are there any dedicated 2BR's? Thanks! ;)

Don't know the real answer to your first question. We were told very few. Having seen the layout of the villa buildings, I'm sure that's true. We stayed in a VB 2 bedroom unit twice before WDW trips and did not get a good view of the ocean from either. We did have a partial view of the ocean from one of the balconies, though - Had to stand and look off the side. View was still nice. Lots of vegetation/flowers and IMHO, even the view of the other villa buildings was nice.

Yes, there are definitely dedicated two bedroom units at VB. In fact, I believe that the majority of the VB two bedrooms are dedicated. We were assigned to a dedicated 2 bedroom for both of our trips and did not request dedicated either time.

Going to VB again this December for the Friday and Saurday nights before our WDW stay. We elected to stay in an OV Inn room this time. Want to spend some serious time on the balcony staring at the ocean and think the Inn is our best bet. There are only 3 of us (all adults), so one OV Inn room will work. We have a 2 bedroom booked at the BWV, though. I know I'm spoiled - but just couldn't face the thought of having someone sleeping in the living room for 5 nights.

Enjoy your trip!

Did your Vero 2BR have 2 queens in the second bedroom? And, are there any villas in the Inn building (I'm guessing not)? How about a pool view, would that have a good chance of being honored?

Thanks!

Both of our dedicated 2 bedroom units had one queen and a double sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. I think that is the layout of them all, but am not at all sure.

As far as I know, there are no 1 or 2 bedroom units in the Inn building.

I don't think there are any pool views from the villa building)s. (There are some from the Inn, though). If you look at a map of the building layout for VB, you'll see that none of them really overlook the pool. There is quite a bit of vegetation, a walkway and the mini-golf between the nearest building and the pool. But all of the buildings are just a short walk/distance from the Inn and pool area.

IMHO, there really isn't any need to be overly concerned about the view from your villa. If by chance you aren't pleased, you are just a few steps away from the beach and the pool - both of those provide excellent views!

Enjoy the trip! You are going to fall in love with VB!

There are 2 rooms in the Inn that have 1 "king size bed" and a sleeper sofa. They are on the top floor(2415+2419) and are very nice and roomy if there are only 2 people. We stayed in 2415(great ocean view) in July and loved it.
