Just booked a surprise trip for the kids and their cousins for VB for a week the end of August. I booked 2 deluxe inn rooms ocean view. Are there connecting rooms at VB? I see from the DVC member website that we will have a fridge and microwave. Is there a toaster as well? All the activities that are listed, will they still be running the end of August? What are the childcare options? Boy, I'm asking too many questions. Maybe someone could direct me to a trip report.

Thanks,
Wendy

There is a toaster, and I do believe they have connecting rooms. I'd imagine most if not all activities will be running in late August. We've gone several times in early May and they always have activities going for the kids. My 5 yr old son loves Vero.

We've had connecting OV Inn rooms. The activites do change, in August, there should be turtle watch walks. There's some sort of supervised dinner time for the kids if parents want to have dinner alone. We don't have young children, but I did notice the groups of children. The family campfires at night are fun, and you can make s'mores, they provide the goodies!

I will stay for my first time at Vero this August. We have however had a few lunches there. ( we have family here that we visit.) We usually go in October and we have seen kids activities then . We saw some egg tossing and croquet type of game .

point being is I would guess they always have some type of stuff for kids.

We stayed on the 4th floor with connecting rooms. I believe there were seven pairs of OVIR that connected on the 4th. So, chances are good for granting your request. Just remember that it is a request.
