Vero beach questions-please help

1. I would like to rent points for 2 or 3 night July 18th-July 21 or July 19th-21st. If I am using the points calcul. right I need 24 to 36 points for a Inn ocean view room. Is this correct?

2. Does ocean view mean side view? How can I get a room with ocean front balcony?

3. Do you think there is chance of getting this for those dates if I can find someone to rent points from?

4. I read they are working on the roof and won't be done until late summer?
What do you think they mean by late summer?

We stayed there about 6 years ago, but just booked directly with them. We had an Inn room that looked at pool and we could barely see the ocean, but they had room that faced the ocean directly. That is the room I want.

Yes, that is correct

Ocean view can mean a head on view OR side view but being that the resort
will be under rehab until late summer...I wouldn't count on the head on view just in case. If you book an Inn room ocean view though, you'll get 2 queen beds instead of the 1 queen bed and pull out sofa set up that you'd get if you book a studio. So even though you may end up with a side view, if the bed set up is important to you, that's something to keep in mind.

Not sure what availibility is looking like at this point...you really won't know until you have someone call and check as booking status could change at any point between now and then if there are cancellations...I do know that I had a hard time getting a straight week booked for May (I ended up booking 2 weeks earlier than I originally would have liked) but I booked a 1bdrm and you're looking for a different size villa and in a different month. What you may be able to find though is someone on the Rent/Trade board who already has what you're looking for booked and looking to rent out the ressie. I would go post what you're looking for now too...the sooner you start looking the better your chances will be.

I would think late summer means end of Aug. to beginning of Sept.

As I mentioned, ocean view could mean head on or side view but you only have a chance at the head on view if you book the Inn room ocean view. With the rehab going on though, not so sure what your chances will be.
