Vero beach or Hilton head island in October?

My boyfriend and I have a week booked at BLT at the end of September and have 5 days left on our trip. Would vero beach or HHI be better at this time of year? We are both 30 and just looking for a relaxing time before we fly home. Thanks!

First Vero is about two hours away, and Hilton Head is about six hours away so you will need to drive to either one. I have been to both and love both of them. It would be warmer in Vero. More restaurants in HH. Both resorts are very relaxing. Vero is right on the beach, and HH is on a marsh with the beach across the road that you drive to or take a shuttle. Good luck.

We will have a car so driving is not an issue. On our last trip we drove down to Key West for a couple of days so that doesn't bother us.

We have spent quite a lot of time in Florida on our last few holidays and so were just thinking that HHI might be a bit different - but would be a bit unknown for us!

We love both resorts. Vero in Oct was very nice....still warm and humid. I have been told by Hilton Head residents that Oct is their favorite time of the year. The restaurants are better on Hilton Head. If you did go there I would drive back the day before your flight left and stay near the airport. We go to both resorts at least once a year.

We have just booked HHI for 5 nights, we are driving back down to Orlando the day before we fly home. We are flying from Miami though but will do the drive down the next morning as our flight is late evening and it means I get a bonus Disney (part) day at the end!
