Vero Beach ocean view point cost up 50% in April 2019

Wow- I saw last week that Vero had its point chart altered for 2019 but I didn't realize the change was so drastic for spring time.

An Ocean View Inn Room in April is now 192 points a week vs 129 points - a 49% increase. I enjoy April trips with WDW during the week then spending the weekend at Vero. Oh well.

[EDIT: Looks like they just changed it so that most of April falls in Premier Season as opposed to only the first week.]

They went from 178 a week to 192. That's 14 points or 7.865% not 49%.
You have crossed over in 2018 you used Magic season and 2019 you used premier season (holiday season)

FYI - DVC is barred from raising the point costs by more than 20% in a year without the approval of the Members.

Fair enough.. they pushed out Premier Season by 3 weeks compared to 2018 so that it now includes most of April. In 2018 Premier Season ended on April 7, now it's April 27. But looking back at past years, I guess it's not that unusual.

The dates 'bounce' around depending on when Easter is each year. Not sure why they have such a long Premier season at Vero, but they have always had much longer that at WDW where it s just the week before and after Easter.

The Premier season is based upon the Easter holiday. It always has shifted around dependent on when Easter is so no, it's not unusual and has happened since DVC started.
