just wanted to post a rave review for Disney's Vero Beach Resort. just got back from a 3 week disney trip (1 weeek at Vero, 1 week at VWL and 1 week at Poly). Vero Beach was so relaxing, clean, beautiful, updated... we'd love to go back. we had a 1 bedroom villa for 3 nights, then an oceanview Inn room for 3 nights. we didn't care for the Inn room. it was big which was great, but the furniture seemed sparse for the size room, and i guess coming from a 1 bedroom villa, nothing is going to compare. BUT we'd go back in a heartbeat and just stay in a villa.
the pool area is fenced in with roomcard access. the tigerlily kids pirate ship play area, the pool with a great slide, the mini golf, the community room, bathrooms, shuffleboard and food counter are all in the fenced in area, which makes it great for keeping an eye on kids. the beach was great, but we did most of our time at the pool and mini golf. they're constructing a new boardwalk area, so that should be great when it's done.
just wanted to let anyone know who was thinking of trying it - do it!

Thanks for posting regarding your visit to Disney's Vero beach resort. I'm glad you enjoyed one of my favorite "retreats" in all of Florida.
We are headed there again this summer for another 2 weeks, in a 1BR Villa. We too...LOVE this place, and the amazing set-up/comfort provided by the accommodations, staff, etc. It's a little "slice of Heaven" just about an hour outside of WDW!!
LOL...sorry!I meant to type a "+" sign after the hour! It takes us about 1 hour & 25 minutes to get to Vero, sometimes less. We have made it to Melbourne in 45-50 minutes, and another 20-25 to Vero Beach (down A1A). I believe it's not only faster, but more scenic this route (as opposed to the highway).
