Has anyone visited Vero Beach in the month of September? I know its hurricane season. Can anyone comment on the weather, love bugs, jelly fish, crowds? I'm looking at 3rd to last week of September. Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

We stayed end of August into September. Weather in general is great, but you do have the higher risk of tropical storms.

It's funny... we've been to VB in Apr, & Jun - Nov, but have never seen lovebugs. We've seen them at WDW, but not VB.

Jelly fish or Jelly rolls... You just gotta watch out for them and stay clear.

No crowds. And since you are just a few weeks into most school years you'll probably see fewer kids and more adults.

Your great Rob!! Thanks for your info!:laundy: (This is what I'll be doing on my balcony so as to avoid the laundry room rumble!!)

We were just there the week of September 15. Over 90 degrees most days and a couple showers late at night but beautiful weather overall. No bugs. Resort is very uncrowded and the beach is almost deserted. Seas were rough and about 4 feet of dunes are gone due to recent storms. Ocean temp was 78. Food was good in the Green Cabin Room and we also enjoyed Mr. Manatees and Squid Lips restaurants. We just played golf and rested by the pool most days. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation!!

We were there last week and it was beautiful. We got there on a rainy day but we like the rain so it was great to sit on the deck with a cocktail and watch the rain and the waves. The next two days were sunny/partly cloudy, around 90 degrees and evening mid 70's. I wore a light jacket in the evening more to protect myself from mosquitos than for the temperature. I got a few bites on the ankles but nothing horrible. We don't do the beach so I can't tell you about jellyfish, etc. The place was half empty and talk about relaxing! it was great. That was our September/October experience. But I guess you take your chances during hurricane weather-could be gorgeous-could be scary storms.
