Hi Everyone!!!

Can someone anyone help me with Vero Beach dining menus, pricing etc...??

I got some information from allears.net, but they don't list Goofy's breakfast character meal.

Also outside of the resort dining is there any close places anyone would suggest???? We're traveling with people on a budget, and with children, so any and ALL comments would be fantastic!!!

Thanks :-)

Our son has worked there the past two summers. We have found some really great places to eat. Captain Hiram's and Ocean Grill are two popular favorites.

There is also Guissippee's on 510, a nice Chinese buffet and down near Stuart there is a nice seafood place I think it's name had George in it also. It is a restaurant that was destroyed by the last hurrican, they never closed a day. Their kitchen was intact and they served ocean side under tents. Really awesome.

I don't know if we just got lucky, but we found at least one place that Disney does pizza well - the VB room service/resort pizza delivery. We're actually looking forward to it in October - not often someone says they're looking forward to a Disney-created pizza. It doesn't seem like it was THAT expensive either.

Shutters (resort restaurant) does a character breakfast on the weekends. It's 2 (maybe 3, but I thought 2) characters - I think we had Donald and Goofy. There isn't a buffet, but there is a family-style breakfast you can order. I think they had a la carte ordering available too. It was a lot less hectic/crazy than the WDW character meals. We'll be returning for this meal too.

Oh my goodness... We had it recently and thought it was uneatable... Truly the worst pizza we ever had.

I will second the Ocean Grill. It's one of my favorite restaurants anywhere, but it's not cheap..

We just got back home from a short stay at Vero and we really enjoyed Squd Lips. It is out over the water and open air. They had great drink specials from 6-8pm, and I enjoyed my scallops. Also in the book in your room was a coupon for a fish finger appetizer free with two entrees.

Definitely go to Shutters. We had dinner there twice. Then we tried, and someone correct me if I'm wrong...Ninos? for pizza. It was pretty close by and from the outside, doesn't look all that fancy, but the food was really good.

Have to disagree, I kind of liked the Pizza as well:confused3

We liked Squid Lips and hated Shutters---especially the Pirate Dinner. The food for that was terrible.

They have the character pirate dinner on Mondays during the summer. I don't know if they offer it at other times or not. Pirate Donald and Pirate Goofy are there and the food is almost inedible. We are not fans of Shutters anyway but the food for this dinner is terrible. I believe we ate at Shutters 3 times during our week there and never had a good meal or good service. Maybe we just aren't lucky. We aren't difficult to please--just refill our drinks, be pleasant and bring us our food but we never got all three of these in one meal while we were there. We love Vero Beach but next time won't be visiting Shutters.
