This was our second time in Vero. Don't get me wrong we love the beach and the atmosphere of the resort. My hubby will not go back. I will tell you our story.
There are 3 grills on the resort. We are grillers. We love HHI for easy access to grills. The first time we were there we did not bring a grill. That was devastating to grillers. Every grill was used. We went back again and we brought our own this time so we did not have to wait. So we had to lug the grill, charcoal meat etc. through the underground tunnel and lug it all back.
The picnic table literally tilted and our food went on the ground and my son and daughter got bit by fire ants waiting for our food to get done.We complained. The Operations Manager Xavier was wonderful. He told us that my family and my sister and her in-laws can grill at the campfire. That was better than lugging it in the underground but, when the campfire had a schedule it was not great!!! However we totally appreciated his accomodations. He was sooo great.

Vero is beautiful, however if you are griller it is soooo tough. The OM said the next time we visit there will be changes. I sooo hope so. My husband was so mad to say the least. We have an Autistic son and he cried the whole time during our grilling and had a melt down. There did not seem to be any pest control. Our whole family referred it as calling it Alligater Alley. The picnic tables were dirty and fire ants everywhere under the 3 picnic tables. For there are only three.
