Vero Beach Cottage Availability?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me about the beach cottage availability at Vero. it is on my bucket list of things to do but have to wait until the 7 month window. I know there are only 8 of them. Are the completely impossible to get at the 7 month window? What time of year would give me the best chance of getting one for 5-7 nights? Thanks in advance for any info you can throw my way!!

Availability has varied depending on time of year. Late May to early Sep, they often fill for multiple days of any given week during the 11 month window and often early in the morning at exactly 11 months out, but sometimes you can find three to four days in a row open at 7 months out (and there is no "usual" time for that). Post Labor Day through first week of Jan, they often fill two to three days a week, more during holiday time, during the 11 month window, but sometimes you might find them open for a week at 7 months out. After first week of Jan until Presidents' week, they are usually open at 7 months out. Thereafter, until latter part of May, they often fill during the 11 month window for one to three days per week, more during holidays, but then you can sometimes get lucky and find an opening for a week at 7 months out.

I have one reserved for Spring break this year, March 30th - April 4th. I had no problem getting one at 7 months for that time period, probably because the weather might be beach worthy, might not.

After making my reservation I checked to see if I could reserve another and all the dates were still available. So there were at least two available if not more for the dates I needed at 7 months.

Thanks for the input! I really would like to do late spring/early summer at some point.

This is good info! We want to do this sometime and certainly don't have points for a couple years -- spent and borrowed!!
