Vero Beach at 7months for Thanksgiving?

Please share your experiences and/or opinions! We are currently booked at Vero Beach for spring break, but thinking of going for Thanksgiving week instead (2013). I am wondering how hard it is to get an ocean view studio at the 7 month window for Thanksgiving week at Vero and also how the weather and ocean temps would be at that time of year.
