I will be "Home" during the 4th of July week. My niece is interested in the turtle walk, and upon contacting the Caribbean Convervation Corp to pre-book the turtle walk, I learned that since the 4th falls on a Monday (and Monday is the day they do the tour) the tour will not take place that week. I am just wondering if there will be any other nature walks or nature activities taking place at the resort during the week. Also, if anyone knows of other "turtle walks" in the vicinity near the resort that I could contact, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Donna

The alst five trips they have the turtle lottery. I believe 2-3 times per week they have guests who are interested come to the lobby, you place your room key in a container and they draw out room key cards until they hit a certain number of guests, I believe the # to be around 19. These 19 guests get a slideshow that night and then go on a turtle walk with a ranger of some sort. Very cool. Our first trip we were drawn, our youngest child at the time was 7-8 years old, he talked the rangers head off all the way down the beach. When we reached the turtle he was asked by the ranger to name the turtle, he named her "Marley". The next day a cast ember delivered a magnet and card commorating Marley's naming.

Thank you for the update. I'm hoping the resort will have some type of turtle-related activity. Now I'm also curious about fireworks. Perhaps anyone that has been at VB in the past during the 4th could comment on the activities taking place that day.
