The fact that the authorities investigated, saw the tape, and considered the allegations unfounded is worth noting. None of us know what happened but, but kids will often hug someone’s leg or touch breasts or otherwise touch in a way that would be inappropriate by adults without thinking and it may be that the video shows a kid’s hands just momentarily in the wrong place. From the lawyer’s statements it sounds like there was about 20 minutes where the older child had an arm around the younger child’s shoulders while watching a movie and some unclear time frame when a hand appears to go between legs, which could be accidental or a misplaced hug.

Again I don’t really know what happened in this case (none of us do) but this would be a highly unusual type of assault if it was one, and it bears mentioning in these cases that the lawyer for the plaintiff (who stands to collect about a third to one half of anything disney pays) is not a reliable source and will stretch the truth as much as they can get away with in the news to create bad press and force a settlement.

I don’t presume to be judge and jury for either side as it’s impossible to know whether this incident happened as described, or is an exaggeration or didn’t happen at all.
I feel that it’s pointless speculating until the evidence or lack of it has been examined by the qualified persons to form judgements.

It never ceases to amaze me how people jump in to defend Disney all the time - as if nothing "bad" could ever happen because it's Disney. They have a VIDEO with the girl putting her hand between the 3 yr old's legs? Yes, no? And people don't believe that? Or it wasn't long enough or bad enough or what?? Geez. I've said many times that 12 year old kids should NOT be able to share space with 3 year old kids. And yes, people will jump in and say 12 yr olds don't want to be with 3 yr olds and there are cast members watching, etc., etc. Sorry, not buying it.

sounds to me like this family went to the authorities and didn't get what they wanted so now they are going after disney. if they were all that serious before they would have filed something last year and not wait nearly two years before suing. these kind of suits are why are vacations are expensive and the cruise as well because they have to pay big bucks to keep attorneys on retainer and big bucks to settle these claims

It’s not about believing disney—but rather the police And FBI who saw the tape and concluded the allegations were unfounded.
