Verizon drops rapper Akon after Trinidad video controversy

Sick. Disgusting. And wrong on EVERY level. I don't care if it's an 18 and older club or not - behavior like this is just WRONG.

It's the 6th (I think) picture in, at 00:20.

I don't think there's anything 'innocent' about this girl. She went to an adult club wearing an extremely revealing top and had a whale of a time stimulating sex with Akon.

The video starts with her underneath him and never on top.

There probably lies the confusion.

Either way, I think Akon is a disgusting vile pig and this kind of grinding, dry sex at a concert is inappropriate and disgusting and worse than what Imus was fired for.

Most, except a couple, blame the girl and feel that Akon did nothing wrong. That it's ok as long as they are consenting adults or it's ok as you should know what you are getting into at a Akon concert and it's the girl's fault for sneaking in.

I am a fan of Akon's music. I had no idea what he does at his concerts which seems to be a part of his act as I have just watched numerous clips from different shows where he simulates sex with women from the audience. I personally think it's gross and I would not go to any of his shows. Just not into all that. The ones where his DJ gets involved are way worse. Also the one with Tara Reid is just silly to me. I am appalled that what the 15 yr old girl was wearing is being given as an example of what type of girl she is. However, that girl does not look 15, and she was in an 18 and older club. To me she doesn't look like an innocent victom in the video and pictures and it seems she is acting sorry now because her pictures are all over and she got into a heap of trouble with her dad. I do not blame Akon, it's his show and he was in an adult club. I do applaud Verizon for pulling out their sponsorship. Does anyone know if he does these things while on the tour with Gwen? It looks like all the videos were in a small club setting.

Imus was fired by his employer. Who's going to fire Akon? He's a performer, not an employee of anyone's. The clubs are free to not book him and the advertisers are welcome to pull their endorsements, but unless someone makes the vile, disgusting things he does in a concert illegal, he's free to do it and people can choose whether or not they want to go to his shows.

Well, Gwen's not exactly a wholesome, family friendly performer either, so I highly doubt that's going to happen, although she's well within her rights to do so.
