Saturday 9th August.
We were up at 8.30 today and I did my usual morning run to the food hall to collect coffee for me, tea for Simon and apple juice for Evie, as well as some milk and cereal. We phoned home and lazed around watching TV for a bit. We both got slightly addicted to Hannah Montana and Suite Life of Zak and Cody !!! (How old are we??!!??)
Anyway just after 10 we caught the boat down to DTD. Si knew exactly where he was heading first, the pin shop!! He had a good browse and had a look at some of the collections that people were showing outside the store. I think he bought some pins in a mystery bag, they were both very cool, fast pass tickets for Soarin and EE!
Evie then had a go on the little carousel and train before lunch.
Lunch was at Wolfgang Puck Express where we shared a Chicken BBQ pizza and a chicken quesidilia, they were both YUMMY!
As we came out the rain came so we nipped into World of Disney to do some pressie shopping. By the time we got through the shop the rain had about stopped. We went into Goofys Candy Company for a treat before getting the boat. Simon had some sort of peanut butter chocolate thing which was delicious, whilst I had an iced coke drink. Mmmmmm.
After a trip back along the river, the other two went for their daily nap, while I read my book by the pool.
At 4.45 we left for trip to the Poly. We checked into Ohana at 5.15 and had just a 5 minute wait to be seated. We were welcomed in and shown how the meal would work and I was then sat at a table with the most amazing view of the castle over the lagoon. I was so thrilled with the view I couldnt stop staring. We ordered our drinks , (pina colada for me!
) and the salad and welcome bread came straight away. Im not a huge salad eater, but this was yummy! A short while later the wontons and chicken wings appeared, followed by the skewer meats and noodles. It was all seriously good. I even ate shrimp! Ive never eaten it in my life, but it was SO good! Evie had a ball here, she joined in with the coconut race and the parade, she thought it was hilarious.
After a lovely meal, I waved goodbye to my wonderful view and we headed to Hollywood Studios for a couple of hours. We did the Little Mermaid show and the muppets as well as a bit of shopping. The queues for Toy Story were huge, even as we were leaving at 10pm it was still showing 80 mins!
We had a very busy, but fun day!
Tomorrow: EPCOT.
