Thursday 14th August.
We were up at 9 and had yoghurts for breakfast and our usual hour of laziness in front of the telly! At 10.30 we headed down to the pool (yes again!). I went to do some laundry and as I came back the heavens opened and down came the rain. There was no sign of a storm so Evie and Simon spent a happy hour swimming in the rain, whilst I read under a umbrella.
At 12 I collected my washing then we went over to Cross Roads for a TGIs. We werent sure what to get, so ordered a couple of sharing starters to pick at. I think we had the JD sampler and the other sharing starter with Mozzarella sticks, potato skins and chicken wings. It was all very nice!
At 2pm we pulled into EPCOT, parking in Create 39. As it was still raining a bit, we went into Spaceship Earth straight away, our screen crashed on he way out this time, so we were a bit sad, not to see our ending. Evie announced she wanted to go to Mexico again so we did the ride and treated Evie to some Maracas that she was desperate for! When we came out Donald was there so we queued to meet him, which Evie was pleased about as we hadnt met him at all the trip.
Evie was a bit grumpy so we decided against Maelstrom and had a stroll round the world, desperately trying to get Madam to fall asleep in her pushchair! We shared an ice drink in Italy and by France Evie was finally asleep! (This was the one and only nap in her pushchair the whole trip! How do other people get there toddlers to sleep in a pushchair!!??) We grabbed the opportunity for a drink at the rose and crown. Simon had a Bass and I just had a coke. We managed to get a table outside and watch the world go by for half an hour. As we sat there, there were people for a conference coming through International Gateway, literally hundreds of them, we were amazed! As Evie was waking we walked over to Mouse Gear for some presents. I also got some coasters and plates for my kitchen and Evie got a spinning, Minnie light thing!!
We werent really hungry for tea, but Evie needed something so we went into Electric Umbrella for some nuggets. Having been fed, Evie was a bit happier so we went on Nemo again, then Spaceship Earth for last time. On the way out Evie enjoyed the lights in the ground, we let her play there for 15 minutes, then she heard the fireworks starting and got a little hysterical!! So we ran into Art of Disney for a browse and purchased a couple of prints.
I left EPCOT with a heavy heart, a lump in my throat and one or two tears too! It really is my favourite park and I was thrilled that Evie enjoyed it so much too!
Tomorrow! Sea World and chilling at POFQ.
