Many colors are on sale (about 40!)

I haven't seen the Villager much lower than this...I think one time I saw $25, but this is a very good sale. Great for a carryon for the plane too!

Unless you have a Vera store, most people buy them online. I think I have heard about people calling a store and they will ship it for you, but I haven't tried that before. If you purchase through ebates, you get 3% back. I bought a few for x-mas presents.

Does anyone have this? My DD would like a VB bag for school, we got her a messenger bag, but it's way too small, would this work for a zipper binder and a couple of textbooks?

Does she have a regular messenger bag or a Frill? It's a bit bigger than the regular messenger bag, but not much (16 x 12.25 x 4 as opposed to 14.75 x 11.5 x 4) and the strap is much shorter. It's a tiny bit too short for me to wear comfortably over my shoulder without slipping off. The Frill messenger bag is much smaller (13.25 x 11.75 x 3).

She has the regular messenger bag.

Thanks for comparing the measurements like that, I don't know why I didn't just look that up :teacher:.

I don't think so...personally I think the text books would make it too heavy.
I use it for a day trip bag...for me it holds a few drinks, extra kids clothes, snacks, etc. or I use it as a work bag to hold a book, drink, ipod, wallet, maybe my lunch, some magazines, etc.

Also, those zipper binders can get pretty big...not sure if the height would work.

Just picked one up in Bali Blue. I love the Miller bag for plane carry-ons, but think this one will work just as nicely!

I just got a Bali Blue also. If you are thinking of ordering, don't wait, they sell out in a flash.

Thank you OP! :goodvibes

I had some "saved" birthday gift money so I splurged today on this deal!

For $61.00 I got $144.00 worth of Vera Bradley in the Bali Blue I had been wanting!

I loved both Paprika and Bali Blue but while the bags were the same price for both colors, the Paprika's accessories were so much higher than the Bali Blue so that helped me to decide between the two colors! :thumbsup2

I got the Villager, Sleek Wallet, and Audrey (such a cute make-up bag for the purse).

I've never bought a Vera Bradley before. My sister wants one for her birthday though. There's a Vera Bradley store at a nearby mall. Does anyone know if it's this price just at the store or all the retailers like Hallmark, etc. Thanks!

I think it would be too small for a school bag. DD uses the VERA and it fits everything usually!

Thanks for the suggestion, I was just looking at the Vera, I think I'm going to show that one to DD and watch for a sale on it.

My DDs' zipper binders barely fit in their huge backpacks! This bag will be too small too. My girls will probably use them for day bags to the pool, or overnight at Grandma's or a friend's.

I would suggest signing up on their website http://www.verabradley.com/ because they have sales with deeper discounts than in any retail outlet I have seen. I have gotten some great deals this way, I have purchased the hipster, mailbag and tote for about $25 each and I got another tote style for my sister for $15. The only downside to ordering online is the shipping charge, however, the VB packaging is so nice that it makes it worth it.

Some Hallmark retailers are very good about discounting their VB stock and some are not. I suggest going into the store and looking at what they have in stock and compare prices (including shipping) with the website. Over the summer I was able to purchase an all-in-one at a local Hallmark store for 40% off with no shipping cost, it was a good deal and made a nice inexpensive gift.

These daily specials are just online or at an outlet store and not a regular retail store. The regular retail stores do discount their items when the fabrics retire but this particular sale is not like that but rather a one day sale thru VB.

Glad I got mine early.:cool1: Most of the colors have sold out. I think I counted 9 colors available.

By the time I got to checkout my items were sold out. :sad2::sad2:

I know me too....I made the mistake of trying to look for accessories before checking out to save on s&h and by the time I was done(about 2-3 min), it was gone....you would think that if you have it in your cart it would be safe for a reasonable amount of time:confused3
