It's funny they're so popular elsewhere. Here, a few girls have then in the HS, but not many. This is a public school is a good community, and have gone with other trends in the past, but seemingly not Vera Bradley.

My DDs say they wouldn't be caught dead with "those granny quilt bags" lol.
I have a really big weakness for flip flops and Vera Bradley. I just can't seem to resist either. I collect both.

The Villager and Miller bags are my work bags and I have them in multiple prints to match everything. My spare bedroom closet has several hanging shelving type units in it that are totally stuffed with Vera Bradely, plus the shelves at the top of the closet have clear storage containers stuffed full. Plus I have two of the garment bags hanging in there and one of the rolling duffels in the bottom of that closet and probably eight each of both the small and the large soft duffels in the top of that closet. My husband built a three tier high shelving thing on the floor that goes all the way around the bottom of the walk in closet that's stuffed with flip flops, plus I have another tall shelving unit that goes floor to ceiling that's full of flip flops. I have well over two hundred pairs.

The only things in that particular closet are Vera Bradley and flip flops.lol Periodically one of my daughter in laws or my eldest grand daughter (15 y/o) will "go shopping" in my flip flop collection in that spare bedroom.

My grand daughter used to make fun of my "granny bags" and always said she and her friends would never be caught dead with a Vera Bradley bag. About a year ago, she came out of that closet with a whole set of Vera Bradley (mini hipster, large tote, small duffel, wallet, a couple of make up bags, sunglass case, wristlet, backpack, ect) in my favorite Blue Rhapsody print, plus another couple of mini hipsters, wallets, and make up bags. I was like 'whoa, wait just a minute'

. It was only a few months ago, you were making fun of my "granny bags".

She informed me that all the popular girls were now carrying them, her mom said they were too expensive, so since I had a bunch and always buy mine in sets, she wanted to go shopping in my closet. She told me I should be grateful because she had really narrowed it down from what she really wanted to take.

I laughed and told her to put them all back, as I wouldn't want her to be embarrased by those 'ugly granny bags'. She reminded me I always let her go shopping for flip flops in that closet, so what was the problem. I told her, as her mom said, those bags were alot more expensive than most flip flops and besides it hadn't been that long since she'd been making fun of them. She said that was before they suddenly got popular with the kids at school. I let her beg and plead for awhile, before I finally gave in and told her she could have one complete set in the print of her choice, one large tote and one large back pack to use as book bags, and one small or large soft duffel bag to use for overnight stays at her friends. She got all of that, plus conned me out of two wristlets.

Her stepmother (my D-I-L) still hates them and thinks they're ugly and gave her a hard time that day. About three weeks ago, that same D-I-L went into my computer room to look something up on my computer and saw the Vera Bradley calculator and pen sitting on the desk. She immediately asked where I got them and when I told her it was Vera Bradley, she said she had to have them.

I reminded her that she gave my GD a hard time about the Vera Bradley bags she got out of my closet that day, but she insists the VB calculators and pens are different. They're cute. I refused to let her have them, but what she doesn't know is that I got a calculator for both D-I-L's and my GD to go in their Christmas stuff.

I just thought it was funny my GD thought my VB bags were so ugly, until the popular girls at school suddenly discovered them and made them popular.
