Venue Ideas

Hi all! After a few too many months procrastinating the fiancee and I are finally trying to get down to the serious planning of our Fairytale wedding.

I have so many questions still! Hoping for some expert advice on some ideas for a reception venue.

We have a small party of only 10-12, and are looking for either lunch or dinner. Would like to have a banquet style table, somewhere preferably secluded or semi-secluded that doesn't have a huge food & beverage min. Would like to stick relatively close to the $140/person. There's a good chance we'll be looking in the late summer months so we want to find something inside or well shaded, especially if it's a lunch. We know all too well what that Florida heat & humidity is like.😂

We really like the look of the Enchanted Rose Garden room, if it would be possible to setup that way.

For context if it helps at all, we're looking at an Epcot morning ceremony, followed by lunch or dinner reception & then a Harmonious dessert party to cap the evening off.

Any and all advice is as always greatly appreciated thank you again experts !

Whitehall at Grand Floridian would be a good option. I believe Enchanted Rose you have to keep setup the same as it is but I could be wrong. You can always ask

The Attic at boardwalk. It fits 35 max I believe. Absolutely beautiful and a hidden gem. Has indoor and outdoor area overlooking the boardwalk and you can walk to it from Epcot. We have our renewal in May there. We looked at a lot of venues and nothing comes close. Napa room has a nice view but looks like an 80s conference room as do many of the locations

We had a Harmonious party the night before our son's wedding at a location called the Mexico Vista. It's right behind Disney Traders right before the bridge into the Mexico Pavillion. The view of the show is/was fantastic! We also hired a motorcoach to pick up our guests from their hotel(s). Disney required them to process through security at International Gateway. Then we had to get back on the bus and ride over to a parking location behind the EPCOT Experience Center. They then escorted us over to the party location.

Doesn't Disney have some sort of party planning team who you can call with questions about what options/prices are available for weddings? Some things may have changed due to covid, so what someone did a few years ago may no longer be an option.

@_19disnA They do not, and the actual wedding planning team is so understaffed right now, they don't even have time to answer questions from couples who have signed a contract already. However, there IS an up-to-date guidebook with all these answers! :teeth:

@DisneyAddicT6 Enchanted Rose requires you to use the library section and won't let you change the existing setup. The Attic is my favorite small venue, but Whitehall is also popular. Ariel's is another indoor venue, though it has no view. The Sonoma and Napa Rooms at Cailfornia Grill have great views, though there is that '80s conference room aspect mentioned above! You can see photos of all the venues here: https://fairytaleweddingsguide.com/wdw-venues/

Can you hold small weddings there as well? I never heard of it before. Cost????

@Pixidust2019 Yes, the Attic has been used for ceremonies in the past—usually as a rain backup. You can see photos of it set up for a reception here: https://fairytaleweddingsguide.com/wdw-venues/the-attic/ And I have my wedding trip report, including our reception at the Attic, here: https://disneytravelbabble.com/trip-reports/wedding/ Using it for a ceremony would trigger the same Event Minimums and Ceremony Venue Fee as any other resort location. These are listed on page 5 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide and on Disney's site: https://www.disneyweddings.com/florida/pricing/

They can do anything with the limiting factor being $$$ and number of guests. Surprising how many people havent heard of it. We had no clue although we had been to Jellyrolls (right below it) many times
