I wouldn't be too alarmed. It's Florida. Most days in the summer/late spring you get a thunderstorm daily around three or four. Generally they don't last long.

These storms move thorugh quickly. I wouldn't let it stop me from going to the parks. Animal kingdom is great in the rain. The Animals are very active in the rain.

I also wouldn't worry too much. As others have said they move through fast. Also the forecasts seem to change the closer you get to the actual day. I have had the same thing happen and then it completely changed when we were there. Just make sure you bring ponchos.
We were in AK the one day in totally downpoured on our trip a few weeks ago. We got so soaked. We headed into Its Tough to Be A Bug and by the time we got out it was over and the sun was out. Good Luck and have a great time.

I wouldn't worry about it. Our last trip there was a 50% or higher chance of rain everyday and it rained once..One huge black cloud was looming over and we were in MGM...well it sprinkled just the slightest bit and it felt really good (It was July then), and about 30 minutes later we saw all these people coming into MGM soaked...I talked to one lady and she said the bottom fell out at Animal Kingdom so they decided to hop over to MGM where it obviously passed over..lol Just be careful with your cameras..that particular lady had her camera around her neck when the storm came through and it got her new digital camera wet and it quit working....:scared:

Just go and have a great time and take a few ponchos just in case, but don't let the weather put a damper on your vacation!!!!

I've also heard that if you're willing to walk around in the rain, you'll be rewarded with much emptier parks than they would normally be. So, grab the ponchos, take shoes that can get wet (i.e., Crocs, Tevas, etc), and have fun anyway.

as others have said, rain is usually in afternoon. Plan your day based upon the weather---if rain in AM, have a leisurely breakfast and go to parks a bit later--plan for indoor things---Epcot FutureWorld is good for rain---you can go to a pavillion and stay a while (walking around countries is not good for rain). AK is not bad for misty overcast, b/c animals actually like this, and you can see Lion King indoors---use common sense--rain poncho also come in handy for water rides like Kali Falls in AK and splash mtn.
Good luck and have fun--ps. end of June is when they sometimes have 5+ inches a day---and we're going for free DDP this year end of Aug.---I am really rolling the dice with the weather for that one!!

We had 2 days it was supposed to thunderstorm while we were there a couple weeks ago. The one day is was storming in the morning and by the time the bus ride to the park was done it had stopped. The second time was our last day and it sprinkled for a minute and that was it. Dont worry- just be prepared with ponchos.

dont worry about the weather too much... the storms dont always last long... though I have gone when it rained almost the whole time (I still had a good time)... granted you may want to be there for the sunshine... the last couple rain forecasts have fallen short down here.

Sorry to hear about your vacation but we're pretty much in the middle of a drought. Our lakes are drying up and we really need the rain. Grab some ponchos and make the best of it. Can't control everything.

I would have gladly taken the t storms over what we had in May 05 at 90+ degrees each day and 90+% humidity it was unbearable for me I hate the hot weather I would love my summer months to be around 65-68 and 0 humidity.
