vegetarian meals ?

does wdw serve vegetarian meals i was wondering this because my sister is a hardcore vegetarian and need to know if she need to bring her own food or not thanks

Most restaurants have at least one vegetarian choice on the menu. If your sister doesn't eat dairy, that might be an issue, as some of the veggie choices have cheese in them. The chefs are very accomodating at the sit-down restaurants, and will gladly put something together for someone who has food limitations.

WDW does have a ton of veggie options...I always find a great deal to eat. Most places serve at least one veggie-friendly dish. Check allearsnet.com for menus or pick up the book A Vegeterian's Guide to Disney World

My DD is also a hardcore vegetarian too (not a vegan yet). Almost all of the Disney restaurants have a vegetarian option on their menu and some of the TS offer vegan selections. At the TS restaurants, you can speak to the chef if there is nothing on the menu that appeals to you. My DD did this at Ohana, the Brown Derby and Spoodles. Each of these restaurants prepared a special vegetarian dish for her. The dishes were mainly pasta with fresh vegetables but she was happy with what she ordered. The prices are usually about the same as a comparable dish on the menu.
The only thing that I can advise your sister to watch out for are the soups. My DD loves soup but won't eat the majority of soups offered at WDW because they are chicken stock based. Even such "vegetable" soups as tomato bisque and potato leek have chicken stock bases. Make sure your sister checks with your server before ordering the soup.
