We are vegetarians - our trip is from 8/28 to 9/6 - 2 adults and 2 girls (7 yrs old). It is our first trip.

I have made ADR's already but my question is do we did to indicate that we are vegetarians OR do I need call Disney and let them know so they indicate on the ressie OR we can jsut inform Chef when we are seated?????

Most restaurants have veggie options and some are buffets so I am sure we will find something to eat - but was still wondering.

here are my ADR's:

CRT
Mama Melrose
1900 Park Faire
Tusker House
Sanaa
Tutto Italia
Arkershus
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's

Thank you in advance for your input:goodvibes

It is always best to contact them and let them know your special needs. That way they are prepared for when you arrive.
If you show up and then tell them your choices may be more limited than if you had let them know.

It is also a good idea to put it on your reservations...as a back up.

Just curious.... Did you look at the menus of the a la carte restaurants before you made your ADRs?

Minnie Mum - Yes I did. All the characters buffets are more for characters than food - and others I did look at the menu on allears - Sanaa, Mama Melrose, Tutto Italia.

Is there something I missed - should i be concerned???

Nope. Not at all. Have you taken a look yet at the longstanding thread on this forum called:Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

It might be of interest to you.

Enjoy your next visit:thumbsup2

I am a veggie and have been to WDW many times. There is always something to accommodate if you just tell them when you arrive but most often it will be an uninspired pasta and veg dish. If you call ahead of time you will most likely get something a little more creative. I am having dinner at Yak and Yeti and have already called and requested a veggie curry dish hopefully with tofu. Hope this helps.

A friend messaged me on Facebook yesterday about a friend and her two daughters who were going to WDW and were vegetarians and if I had any advice. If this is my friend Marlene's friend, cue the "It's a Small World" music.

If you are going to 1900 Parke Fair be sure to ask if Chef TJ is working -- he's the most gracious and helpful chef around and will make sure you get exactly what you need. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the Chef TJ tip - will definetly ask. I am sorry - I am not your friend's friend.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I appreciate it.

Do I need to pull up each ADR and put in a special request?? OR should I just call the reservations number and ask them to add "vegetarian" to all my ADR's???? Which is easier to do????
