Vegas with kids?

Just don't take a stroller into the Bellagio!!

Your kids are slightly older, so they might enjoy some of the roller coasters at the hotels. Most of the hotels on the strip had something kids would enjoy seeing or doing - though fairly expensive, as most touristy places are. We took Russ for an overnight on the way to DL when he was 18 months old and no one handed us the porn cards - they were out and about but didn't approach us. But then, Russ was young enough that even if they did, it wasn't an issue. And we were back at our hotel by 9 pm so we weren't out for the late-evening stuff.

Thanks for the replies. We are not going to hanging on the strip and quite honestly my kids are in NYC enough and we see lots of things there. Our main focus on this trip is the Lake Las Vegas and some park tours, but we will definatley check out the strip.

Treasure Island has the pirate show. Mirage has the volcano eruption and the white tigers. Circus Circus has the circus and the midway games. I think that there is a lot for kids. Just walk by those casinos quickly.

The pirate show at Treasure Island is no longer "kid friendly". It became a more adult show a couple of years ago.

However, we have taken our son to Vegas a few times (starting at age 12) and he loves it. We took him to see Mystere, Ka! and "O". All great. We just like exploring all the wonderful hotels and shopping. Good eats. Lots to do.

He's 20 now and wants to go to Vegas for his 21st birthday. He wants to sit down at a slot machine and lose some money
