Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster ;)

I booked a trip for next feb, our first visit ever, through thomas cook...they told us that our transfers from the airport to disney were included but Ive just looked on the disney website and it says that visits after novemeber 2011 airport transfers will not be included but will be an optional extra.

So I have had a looksie at the VEA site and their timetable which only shows peak times and not for feb, its got me a bit worried as our flight home will be much later than the last shuttle..is there anywhere else reputable we can book a transfer from?

I know someone will be able to help us out, I will warn you, you will be my oracles over the next few months :thumbsup2

We have booked FL-tours for our excursions as my husband cannot do the buses, they were recommended on this site by other members, and l must admit they were very helpful and l always go a fast reply to my emails.

duuh I just noticed that I didnt specify disneyland PARIS :rolleyes1 Im such a plonker!!

I wish I was off to florida, I bet the weather will be a whole lot nicer there than france in feb!

Hi chaoscupcake,

Welcome to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board :goodvibes.

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here

if the VEA doesn't suit you, there are other options, like the TGV or a shared/private shuttle.

If you have a look at our "very useful information" sticky at the top of the forum, in "travelling to DLP by plane" you'll find lots of information on the various options :).

Have you checked with Thomas Cook? I booked both our previous trips with them and they were very helpful, do you have your booking paperwork it should say something on there?

We had the vea transfers both times and it was hassle free but if i was paying for it I may way up the cost vs private shuttle.

We've also booked with Thomas Cook for feb next year and was told all transfers were part of the package, when you booked did they have DLP booking team on the phone? That's what they did with ours and confirmed everything twice? I feel I may have to check incase now?

yeah they did it on the all on the phone and told me then transfers were included...however nowhere in the itinery did it mention the shuttle transfer...so I went back and asked and was assured it was. I was still dubious though (Im a right worrier me!) so looked at the DLP site and found this

On-line check-in for passengers with hand and hold baggage

On arrival, you can take the VEA Airport Shuttle Bus, which will get you to the heart of the magic in just 45 minutes (included in a package with Flybe for arrivals until 7th November 2011, after this date VEA transfers will no more be included in a package and will be available as an option)

I will just go back in and show them a print out of that page I think!

when are you going in feb disney_rocks_86?

I wonder if their just stopping including the VEA as more and more people opt for other transfer options. No point paying for it with Disney then getting the TGV i suppose.

We'd always opt for the VEA and if they no longer include it you can just pay the driver on boarding. Having pre-issued tickets does not give priority boarding after all just saves carrying the cash needed in hand.

I've just looked at our paper work too, and ours doesn't sa Vea either, I do remember it being discussed as the DLP booking staff said about transfers and our travel agent said yes they've been before, but I shall be popping in on monday to discuss the matter also. We're going from the 21st - 24th feb at SL, when are you going Chaoscupcake?
Do you mind me asking what you have go so far from Thomas Cook, I've not got much so far just itinerary, and then told full details on final payment - is that the same with yourself?

aah we are off the week before, the 14th till the 17th :)

we have just been given the itinary with the plane times and stuff, Im guessing when we have paid in full we get the tickets..its been 8 years since Ive been abroad so Im a bit new to all this!

aaah I didnt know you could just pay cash to use it, I think I will try to get something pre booked anyway to give me one less thing to worry about...honestly, I still have over 4 months till I go but Im more excited than my son!

I cant post the link yet as I only have 7 posts but if you go to the DLP homepage, bottom left hand side it talks about the VEA shuttle under the by plane section in the transportation options :)
