VDH (Villas at Disneyland Hotel) DVC View From The Room Thread

True with the standard duo, if don’t get the balcony. Been back there myself. That’s one thing I like about the preferred duo. If don’t get the balcony, you at least look out the front side next to the grand villas.

Is that some sort of cover at the BBQ’s? I’ll be there next week & will need to go look at the current setup now!
No cover on the BBQs, the table next to them has a nice big umbrella over it

@Hutch1317 I agree with @VGCgroupie since they didn’t include balconies with any of the standard or preferred studios there is nothing that opens (window or door) which keeps the outdoor noise to a zero in my experience. Luckily I didn’t hear much from inside either which really surprised me since I was across from the elevator.
Thank you so much for letting me know! This is very reassuring. The hotel overall just looks so nice, I can’t wait!

It may help to put in a request for a high floor. That would put you further from the compressors. I have not stayed in one of those rooms so can't really say, but in my head it makes sense that if you are on an upper floor, it should be quieter due to being further from the compressors.

Thank you! I'm definitely going to do that. Plus, at least it gives you a slightly nicer view. I'd rather get to look at some houses than just a, well, air conditioner building lol

Yes hearing accessible. I noticed nothing different.
Hearing room is very subtle. Don’t think they have added a door bell/light alert system here. Don’t know if the beds vibrate if an emergency alarm sounds. Don’t think the phones are any different.

All I’ve noticed is a led type light housing attached to the smoke detector & the ceiling of the bathroom has a similar lighting device.

We got lucky no emergency while we were there. I have actually heard 2 times recently at VDH/VGC smoke alarm being pulled middle of night.
