VDH Future Incentives

For folks who have been watching DVC and tracking the active sales in recent years (RIV, VGF, AUL) , do you have any thoughts on what VDH incentives will look like ? WIll we start seeing better deals?

Just curious on how folks are thinking about this - do you think current VDH incentives are good? do you anticipate it will get better ?

Typically, the incentives are best at the start. But, the past few years, since the pandemic and current conditions, we have seen some better incentives. The base price is higher though so I think what we are seeing now is very similar to what they had at the start..

For example, I bought RIV in 2019 for $167 for 175 points…but didn’t need to sell back a years worth of points as MB wasn’t a thing being offered ..which is what todays buyer needs to do to get that same price.

I would say not to count on it being better in any meaningful way.

I doubt they get better next week. I wouldn’t be shocked if someday a better incentive is offered. Might be a while.

I haven’t owned DVC long enough to know incentive history, or pricing history. It’s hard to predict the future, but I would say at some point the pricing will be higher but so will rack rates of hotels. So, when I made my decision I based it on the current price and tried to see if that made sense for me. Best of luck, I know this step can be stressful!
