Does Vero Beach offer room service? We'll be staying in the inn. If so, anyone know the hours? And what the menu is like?

Thanks! :)

Yes, room service is available at VB. Hours approximately mimmic the rest. hours (7am - 10 pm). Items offered are things from the menus at the Green Cabin Room & shutters. There should be an in-room dinning menu in your room when you check in.

Room service breakfast is awesome! We always do this while in an ocean view inn room. We eat right by the sliding doors and listen to the waves. It was no more expensive than eating at the Green Cabin. Try it, you'll love it.

You can get Mickey pancakes!

Yep. And when we use it we have found that one entree is enough for two, so we always order one entree and two salads (for us two). Even with the tip it is cheaper than sitting down at the restaurant. Also.... we have on occasion gone down and ordered carry out. They don't advertise this possibility, but they do it with a smile.

I am what you might call hearing challenged. Not really an impairment, but when I get into a room of background noise and people talking, I have a real hard time hearing anything distinctly. It is so much more comfortable to eat in our room.

Do you have an ocean view or garden view room booked?

The carry out works quite well there too

Cheers

We have ocean view rooms booked (requested connecting). Is there enough room on the balcony to eat?

We even ordered room service when we stayed in a beach cottage with a huge kitchen! And they happily brought it over even with a vase and flower on the tray!

OMG - you rat! :lmao: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

We did the same thing too one day despite the kitchen :yay: :rolleyes1

Yep! Being the nerd I am, I counted them.
There are 7 pairs of OV conecting room on the 4th floor.

Great to know! Would you happen to know where the smoking rooms are? We requested N/S. Does the 2nd floor still give a nice view? Or, is 3rd and 4th preferable?

Can't wait to enjoy some room service on the balcony overlooking the ocean... :woohoo:

Just to add to the perception of my nerdiness, here is a map of the 4th floor....

If you need help understanding the map let me know. The hallway runs around the square lobby in the center.

We had a great pair of connecting rooms in the center above the Green Cabin room. It was very nice to have the girls in a separate room. :cloud9:

The view was good from the Green Cabin room balcony and that is on the second floor so I would assume most rooms on the second would also be good.

If I am remebering correctly, I think the smoking rooms are on the second floor next to the Green Cabin room.

Just so you aren't suprised, rooms that face the north and south(pool) are also considered Ocean View, as well as those that face the east(ocean).

Thank you SO MUCH for that map! It's exactly what I've been looking for! Any idea what the rooms that aren't direct oceanfront end in (room #)? I'd like to avoid those if at all possible...

Thanks! :)

I did jot down some room numbers. The rooms on the 4th floor are ending in numbers from 01-29 with 01 starting in the lower left hand corner of the lobby next to the laundry, which is next to the elevators. The numbers go counter clockwise. Numbers 01-03 are the three that are over the entrance to the resort (GV) and 16-18 are the three that are in the center facing the ocean. 07 & 08 have balconies facing the pool and 26 & 27 are to the north. Two OVIR on the 4th floor have king beds instead of 2 queens (19 and 15).
