I'm looking for information on Vero Beach.
Can someone please tell me the number of studio and the number of 1 bedroom units? I know there are 112 inn rooms and six grand villas or beach cottages.

Also, about how many of the studios (not inn rooms) and 1-bedrooms have an ocean view?
I've been told that if you get on the third floor(there are 3 floors, right?), you are likely to have an ocean view from a studio or a 1-bedroom. Is that correct? Are there elevators, or is the access by stairs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I can't answer all of your questions, but here is a start. I am sure others will provide more info.

All buildings have elevators.

We stayed in a 2 BR on the third floor on our most recent visit, and could see the ocean from the balconies and hear it with the doors open. Our unit did not really face the ocean. The windows faced to the road and the side of the main building, but the balcony was great!!

The studios will likely have an ocean view only if a higher floor and if on the ocean side.

We stayed in the inn on another visit and had an ocean view room. The rooms there have either an ocean or a garden view. The ocean views are spectacular, and after looking at the location of some studios, in the future, I would always go for an inn room ocean view over a studio with uncertain view.

Now if you really want a spectacular ocean view, look at the 3 BR beach cottages!! We only visited, but they are spectacular. Someday . .

We love VB!! Love the ocean views!!

There are three buildings with units (not counting the inn or beach cottages). Each has 3 floors, and each floor has 6 units. Total 18 units per building, or 54 total units. 18 units are dedicated 2BR, and 36 units are 2BR lockouts.

What do you think are the chances of securing a 1-bedroom in Jan. or Feb. with some type of ocean view? Do you think we'd have better success at getting such a room at the 11-month window?

I guess my question goes to how rooms are assigned, and whether owning points at Vero will give you any advantange in getting the room you want.

Here's my sitation: I tried to make ressies on 4 months notice recently, and the resort was booked. I intend to try to book a ressie for Jan. or Feb. at my 7-month window, but wonder whether I'll have success. All this is leading us to consider a Vero add-on to improve our chances of getting what we want. And, since we like the beach in the winter, it's probable we will want to go every year.

All advice is welcome! :)

We have stayed several times in the Inn. Our next trip in 29 days we have a studio. Last night for the first time I noticed that the studios can be one of two floor plans. I thought they all were the odd shape with a couch and bed. However from the Vero Website it looks like some are two beds and shaped like the Inn rooms.

The 11 month window always gives a better chance of both getting the type of room you want and the options.

We were able to book a 1 BR for December about 4 months out and requested an ocean view, upper floor. The confirmation noted the request for ocean view, but also noted "very limited." MS said that requests are accomodated in order of the reservation, so ours would not have a very good chance.

When we checked in, we found the 1 BR was on the ground floor. But we had decided on the drive down from WDW to try for a 2 BR. One was available, on the third floor!! At check-in time!!

I really want a VB add-on so we can get the beach cottage every few years and invite family and friends to join us. Once we are done paying college tuition . . .
