They are both the same # of pts. Advantages/disadvantages of both??

Thanks, I have never been and can't find a VB info thread:thumbsup2

A studio will be in one of the side buildings. It will have a queen bed and a sofa with a kitchenette. The inn rooms both garden and ocean view have 2 queens and the kitchenette. We've had all three, and for the same number of points, we prefer the ocean view inn room over the studio, if we have to save points, the garden view was just fine.

We stayed in an OVIR two years ago and it was fantastic. I think we were on the fourth floor direct OV. It was beautiful and the sound of the ocean was wonderful. You could lay in bed in the morning or night and hear the waves. It was only DH and I. Would love to stay in one of the cottages one day.

I'll pile on in favor of the Inn rooms as far better than the studios overall. The only way I'd get a studio is if I wanted to be more isolated, had multiple units and wanted them closer or that was all that were available. I might, or might not, take a studio over a garden view it would depend on specifics.

This was the EXACT information I was looking for. I just called to swap my Studio reservation for the Inn room in February. Only staying 2 nights, but having that guarantee of ocean view, plus the extra bed makes this room a much better choice for me.
Thanks!

All things considered the only time I would chose a studio is if I knew my OVIR was over the pool area. Otherwise, the only other advantage (for us) would be that the studio has a king bed and a sofa, which works much better for a couple than two queen beds and no sofa.

I'm glad it worked out. Make sure you have a request for a higher floor.

Yes, when I called to change the request I added upper floor - we always request that. Does anyone know if this is a NON-smoking resort?

All Disney resort rooms are non smoking. Unless of course you're willing to pay the room recovery fee. For Villa and Inn rooms smoking is permitted (without penalty) only in DSA's.
