Just to add that so far the USA do not have a clear policy regarding the use of e-cigs in public places.
Cities like New-York and Los Angeles have recently banned the use of those e-cigs in public places, restaurants, parks, and so on.
I know it's not your question, but as a former heavy smoker (I've been smoke free since 2007 after 20 years of 3 packs of Mar***** a day) I will kindly say that I would still use the designated "smoking area" even with an e-cig as a courtesy to other guests. ($.02 here
