Does anyone have any experience about dropping off people and luggage at the Vancouver port before parking a car? We will be flying in, but my sister and her family will be driving from Seattle. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions you can share. Thank you!

Isn’t parking right there at Canada place? I would imagine that there are elevators and such from the parking garage. Knowing how busy it gets along that road in front of CP I would probably just park the car and have everyone bring the bags from the car.

But maybe my post will bump this and being it to the attention who have actually parked their car there. :)

There is a nice dropoff area right at the cruise ship level. However, not sure about parking.

You have two options with a vehicle...
  • drive onto the cruise ship level and you blend in with the taxi's unloading the heavy stuff straight to port staff. Passengers can then walk over to the security lines for boarding. Warning.... traffic into the boarding area is VERY heavy between 11:30am and 1pm. I like to arrive before 11am. No need to pay for parking with this option.
  • drive straight into parking below the cruise terminal. Take the luggage up the elevator to the cruise ship level and hand the luggage to them there. Not sure if you are allowed to leave your vehicle there for a week, but a great option if sister is just seeing you off.
To clarify, where is this Seattle vehicle going to be parked during the week long cruise? Airport? Hotel Park 'n fly?

Thanks for the info! She will be cruising also. I know there is a website to pre-book parking at the port. Just wondering the best way to handle the people, luggage, and parking.
