Cast -
Melissa - me, mom 26
Lane - dad & husband 28
Hannah - just turned 4 year old dd
Julia - 2 1/2 year old dd
Claire <nana> - my grandma & girls great grandma

PRETRIP - Originally the plan was, the girls & I leave West Palm Beach (3 hours south of Orlando) on Friday morning and on Saturday night, Lane would meet up with us and stay until Monday & the girls and I would stay until Tuesday. But the night before we left, my grandmother (who hasn't gone to disney in 5 years even though we've asked her to go a few times) was making all sorts of hints that she would like to go. Plan changed, Nana, the girls and I were leaving the next morning. Then on Monday night, Lane, Nana and Hannah left while Julia and I stayed until Tuesday.

Day 1 - The girls & I picked up Nana at 7am and off we went. With a stop at the rest stop where Nana bought the messiest cinnibun possible, we still managed to make it to the hotel by 9:45am. I had never been to Animal Kingdom Lodge and the anticipation was great.
We checked in but room was not ready yet so we bought our 4 day play 4 passes and off we headed to Magic Kingdom. While unloading car I noticed idiot me forgot the stroller at home! So first thing we did when getting there was stroller rental. My sister (who was visiting disney with her family, hubby, nevin (3) & kyler (10m) at the same time) then called and we made plans to meet up.
The first thing the girls wanted to do was ride Cindys carosel. After getting off, we met up with my sister and family. Headed off to ride It's A Small World and the tea cups. The crowds were fair, but not to very crowded. Decided we were hungry so got some lunch at Cosmo Rays. I had the 1/2 chicken meal and it was really good.
After lunch we said goodbye to sis and headed to Toon Town. Julia, the 2 year old, couldn't wait to ride Barnstomer & both girls really enjoyed it! After we went to visit some characters, Hannah's fav are the Disney princesses and Julia's fav are pooh and friends. With a ride on the train, we found our way back to the bus & back to the hotel for a nap.
We had booked a standard room at $109 a night. But in my request I faxed, I had asked for a comp upgrade to Savannah, close to lobby. We called for our room number and found we were in room 3213, which was 2 rooms from the lobby (I can't remember which trail but the back left side) and facing the Arusha? Savannah!!!! We didn't request a certain bedding but were pleased to see we had a queen bed and bunk beds which worked out well because no one wanted to sleep with kicking hannah. Julia still sleeps in a crib, so she was happy to see a pack and play.
Then we opened the drapes and WOWOWOW!!! What an awesome site. We were not 15 feet from zebras and giraffes. What a fabulous room, I am so thankful for such a wonderful upgrade! We put the girls down for a nap and sat on the balcony watching the animals for 2 hours.
After the nap, we headed to Ft Wilderness for dinner at Trails End. We met up again with sis and family and had a great meal. After we ate we headed over to the campfire. Now, I know many enjoy this, but we weren't impressed. It was mass chaos, couldn't hear the woman singing and were very uncomfortable. So we were outta there. Headed back to the hotel and were in bed by 9pm.

DAY 2
Woke up early this morning, it was the morning of our princess breakfast at Epcot. We were told to be at the buses by 7:45am to make it in time for our PS. We got there at 7:30am and by 8am there was NO bus. I inquired at the valet, they called in and said a bus was on it's way. The bus did not get there until 8:20am. We got to Epcot and with 2 little ones with no stroller, we had to make the long hike to Norway. We ended up being 15 minutes late but they were fine with it.
I had heard bad things about this breakfast, but I must say we quite enjoyed it. The food was very good and the character interaction was adaquate. The girls loved every minute of it!!!
After breakfast, we had to hike back to the front of Epcot to rent a stroller and took a ride on Space Ship Earth.
Then met up with sis & family again. Nana watched the kids while sis, her hubby and I went on Mission Space. Line said 10 minute wait but we walked right on. WHEW, what a ride this is. They gave 3 opt out chances and being very claustraphobic, I almost took it. But I'm glad I didn't, it was awesome. And you feel a little lightheaded after, but not sick.
Resuced Nana from the kids and headed to Test Track and parked them inside on a bench. We took Hannah (4) with us on the ride. She wasn't quite sure if she liked it or not, but us older folks had fun!
After that, sis left us and we went to the Land. We wanted the girls to do the cookie making and there would be one in 25 minutes. So we ate some lunch and headed over. This is quite a cute thing they put on. The girls had a great time, loved the chef hats and the free cookies.
Headed out to Journey into Imagination and did Spaceship Earth again and went back to the hotel. The room was done when we got back and the mousekeeper left us the funniest towel person wearing Hannah's pj's and hat reading a magazine. And for Julia, she left a butterfly washcloth! We all took a nap for 2 hours and woke up refreshed.
Headed over to the magic kingdom for the evening. We got there around 6pm and went to ride the TTA. When getting off, my sister called and we met to find a space to sit for the 8pm parade. At 6:30pm most curb sides were full. This place was PACKED!!!!
We ended up finding a fabulous place for the parade, just over the bridge into Liberty Square. We had a nice wait for the parade, the girls made a friend and enjoyed the parade.
When it was over, Hannah needed to go potty quite bad. We had 20 minutes until the fireworks so we ran (with the huge crowds) toward the bathrooms near Chrysal Palace. The line was 40 people long and Hannah REALLY had to go.
So I remembered the child care center was there and went running. Well, we walked into what I thought was the child care center and thought "wow, they refurbished this!" and told the lady at the counter we needed in because she REALLY had to go and was going to have an accident. She gave us a funny look and let us through and we went running. That's when I realized it was not the child care, it was the First Aid center!! There were lines of cots and medical equiptment. I was so darned embarrassed!!! So she goes potty and I try to sneak out but the ladies were waiting for us. They made us sign their guestbook and gave Hannah special stickers, lol!!!
Anyway, we were half way back when phone rang, it was hubby and he was looking for us. Had to return hannah to the family and headed back to look for Lane. Found him right when Tinkerbell was doing her flight and we enjoyed the fireworks.
When they were over, we decided to go back to the hotel for dinner. The girls wanted Cherrios in the room so Lane & I bought food at the Mara and ate in the room too.
After they were in bed, dh & I headed to the hot tub. Boy that thing was HOT and crowded but we enjoyed it. Then made a run for the pool. We headed back to the room and were in bed by midnight.

DAY 3
Woke up for EE day at Magic Kingdom. Nana was tired so she hung around the hotel all day. The girls, dh and I got to the Magic Kingdom early and waited to get in. Right at opening, we ran in and went straight for Dumbo. The girls enjoyed this ride so much! Also rode on tea cups and race cars. Hannah couldn't wait to ride on the space jets and then rode Buzz Lightyear.
After that, it was around 9:30 and Toon Town would open at 10am. So the girls had some breakfast in front of the ropes in Toon Town.
At opening, all the characters come out and pick kids to walk with them back into Toon town. Suzy mouse picked Julia and Chip picked Hannah and off they went. The place was VERY crowded by then and it was hard to keep up with them. Made it to Minnies House where Suzy said goodbye to Julia and Hannah and Chip went in and he showed them the cool stuff Minnies Kitchen does. Then they headed back to the tent. We saw some characters and rode Barnstormers.
After this, we were ready for lunch and wanted to do our ritual of lunch at Contemporary and games in the game room. On the way to the Comtemporary, the girls got to sit in front of the monorail which they loved.
Had chicken strips for lunch and played some games. There is a game I am pretty good at, the one where you put the quarter in and if it goes into the dump truck you get tickets and if it hits the dump sign you get tickets for all the quarters in the truck. There was one truck that was full to the brim with quarters and I managed to hit the dump sign. Whoo hoo, got like 600 tickets outta that machine!!!
Girls got nice bags of toys for prizes and we headed back to the hotel. Nana offered to watch the girls for the evening so Lane and I could go to Epcot. So we made ressies for the Japanese Steakhouse for 5:45pm. The girls and Nana were going to stick around the hotel.
A shower and rest later, we were off to Epcot. By this time, it was drizzling pretty good and we didn't have ponchos. We headed to Mission Space, said 15 minute wait, walked right on again. Hubby really loved this ride as well!!!!
Then headed out to World Showcase. We were hungry and headed to the steakhouse in hopes they could get us in early which they were able to do so we were in by 5pm. We had a wonderful meal!!!!
After we ate, we went to the American Adventure show that we hadn't seen before. It was interesting and a nice way to digest. Got out of there and had to have a funnel cake. YUM!!! We could have been out all night but what do we do? Head back to the room and in bed by 9pm. YIKES!!!

DAY 4
Got up early for EE at Animal Kingdom. We go there right before it opened and got in the huge line. This huge line, mind you, was only for hotel guests. Yup, this place was PACKED!!!!!! Got in and were hungry so we went to Africa and got food at the bakery there. After eating, we went back to camp Mickey Minnie and found some characters. After that, they opened the section and we went off to the Lion King show. The CM lead the girls to the front row and we sat down. We were surprised, by the way, to see the renovations included making this theater a closed air conditioned building now instead of a tee tea tent like theater.
We loved the show as usual, and were so pleased at the end when the Zebra chose the girls to be in their little parade and play the instruments. They were too cute out there!!!! Hee hee!
After the show, we headed over to Tarzan. Well on the show paper they did not tell us that Tarzan was closed until Oct 2nd for renovations. I was soo upset, I was looking forward to see it! So we headed to Dinoland and rode Tyrantisaurus Spin which the girls LOVED.
We had a fastpass for Primeval Whirl but ended up not needing it, walked right on. We giggle at this ride, lol. When we got off, we headed back to Nana and the girls and Hannah (4) was crying. Turns out the big inflated dinosaur had chased her which scared her pretty bad!!! LOLOL!!
After this, we went to the train station and rode to Rafikis Animal Watch. Inside we found Pocahauntus, Rafiki and Stanley, the girls were quite happy with this. After that, we headed out to the petting zoo. Hannah wanted nothing to do with this, but Julia really loved brushing the goats.
After a trip back on the train, it was time to eat lunch. Got ourselves the meal plus certificate and got ribs and an order of fries. During this meal, we ran into the RUDEST people. Everyone is still telling me to get over it, but I still am ruffled by it. We sat down in a rather smaller section of the eating area with our stroller next to us. There was a high chair there so we were using it for Julia who doesn't really use one anymore, but without a booster, it's easier to get her to eat. But we didn't put her in right away and a family came, sat down next to us and started to yank the high chair without asking. I said excuse me, we are using that and they nearly THREW it back at us. So dh brings the food back and we are eating, and the lady gets up and takes our stroller and pushes it aside rather roughly saying "this darn (other word) stroller is in our way, it's on OUR side". Mind you, we were the ones there first and it wasn't on THEIR side, it was in the middle up against a railing. UGH, how rude.
Ok, after we ate, we got some ice cream and enjoyed a drumming band performance and headed out to the hotel. At this point, dh, Hannah and Nana were leaving. So they packed up and headed out while Julia went down for a nap. This time in the room, we found 2 towel children wearing the girls chef hats and a washcloth/toilet paper duck in the bathroom and all the pillows in the room were array. Was quite a funny site.
After Julia woke up, we went to MGM studios. We got there right in time for the Beauty and the Beast show and when we got out of there, went right into the Little Mermaid show. After this, I made the mistake of taking Julia into the Pooh store where she latched into a soft Tigger stuff animal that she was so in love with. After coaxing from all the people in the store who were witnessing this pitiful love affair between Julia and Tigger, I bought it for her which lead to having to buy a Kim Possible doll for Hannah.
After the shopping, we shared a chicken strip meal and got to Fantasmic at 7:15pm. This stadium was already packed! But luckily they had just opened the Pocahantus section and we got to pick a row and go to the end....very good for claustraphobic me! It wasn't much of a wait and enjoyed the show.
After the show we found a seat on the main street and waited for the place to clear out. Which was a good idea and when we left, we walked right onto a bus. Headed back to the hotel, had a snack and into bed by 10pm to watch the season premiere of 3rd Watch.

DAY 5
Got to sleep in slightly today. Woke up at 7:45am and were out the door by 8:15 to Magic Kingdom. I upgraded my play 4 pass to a season pass and went to the gates. Got there right when the show was going on and ran back to the barber shop to get Julia's hair cut. We were 3rd in line behind 2 CM's who needed cuts. Julia was TOOO cute, she's always liked having her hair cut and she had a nice little audience.
A little pixie dust later, we were on our way. This is when I noticed, this place was EMPTY today!!! What a kick in the rear when the day we leave is the emptiest? Went on HM and on the train to Toon Town. Visited the characters one more time and onto Barnstormer. Julia kept asking about the Tea Cups so walked into that.
We were heading to the carosel when I noticed they were letting in for Mickey's Philharmagic. This was the cutest show!!! I quite enjoyed it, very imaginative. :-)
After we got out of there, we went on the carosel and on the Pooh ride. After that, we got on a boat to Ft Wilderness and ate some lunch at Trails End. Took a boat to Contemporary and a monorail to TTC and then on one to Epcot where we waited for our bus.
We were the only ones waiting and when the bus pulled up, the driver told Julia he was tired and she had to drive. Julia got a kick outta this! He put her in his seat, put the wheel down to her and buckled her seat belt. She loved every minute of it! Then he gave her an honorary bus driving license.
That was a great end to a wonderful vacation. We got back to the hotel and pulled the car around to get our luggage. We had a smooth drive home, Julia slept most of the way.

FINAL THOUGHTS
This was the most magical best family trip we've had ever!!! I loved the hotel and would stay there again. We loved the princess breakfast but are still hoping to one day get the exclusive cindy breakfast PS!!! I really enjoyed when it was just Julia and I...I hate to say it but it's true. Less stress!!!! Next time I would go on original plans, just the girls and I until hubby came for his few days. They go for anything, no pleasing any adults, lol.
