Value Studios At AKV

What is the ratio of parking lot view verses Savannah view?
I just called and they have some days in a value view and she said it would either 2 of those. We have never stayed at AK before and would love to but we want a SV and there is none availible and we would be able to book 6 nights instead of 5 if we did this.

There are no "standard" view rooms that have savanna view. Standards overlook the pool. It is the "value" point cost rooms that can have either parking lot or savanna (sunset savanna) or even pool view. I believe majority are parking lot view for those.

According to the map that is up here somewhere on another thread, most value rooms would be either Sunset Savannah or pool view. Some would face the parking lot. You can request a savannah view.

I've had one studio and it was a pool view. I had requested the savannah. I liked the pool better.

It's hard to come up with ratios because some of the Value studios are lockoffs -- part of a 2BR lockoff that might be rented as a 2BR or might be locked off and rented as a 1BR and a studio. Without knowing how many are typically rented as 2BRs, we don't know how many lockoff studios are normally available.

Here are the raw numbers: There are 8 Value dedicated studios, 4 face the Sunset Savanna and 4 face the pool. There are 10 Value 2BR lockoffs, 4 face the Sunset Savanna, 4 face the pool and 2 face the parking lot. So at any given time there are 4 to 8 Value studios with a savanna view, 4 to 8 Value studios with a standard (pool) view and 0 to 2 Value studios with a parking lot view.

I kind of have a similar question and i think lisas might have just answered it... I am renting DVC points and I just got the confirmation letter saying that i have a ded. value studio in the jambo house. So i have a 50/50 shot at either SV or pool view, right?

Yes provided that the AKV room assigner and the front desk staff consider "dedicated studio" a guaranteed booking category rather than just a "suggestion". We've only had one report so far where someone had booked a dedicated studio and was assigned a lockoff when they checked in but it was for a Savanna View studio, not a Value.
