value season in july?

I dont get it..everyone talks about how busy and crowded it is in July and it seems likely that it would last all month right? So why is it that the WDW resorts go to value season on July 5th instead of peak or magic or something? I was thinking of going mid July and renting points from DVC member but they hold those guys to the magic season on their point useage for the whole month. What gives?!

It is only value season at Deluxe resorts.

During the summer months the occupancy at the Deluxe resorts is less than other months. However this in no way is a reflection of the park attendance or bookings at the values and moderates. They will be packed.

Many people during summer months stay off site also. The deluxe resorts seem to stay packed in the cooler months when conventions are popular and people with flexible vacation time travel.

As to DVC many are families and travel during summer breaks.
