I would like anybody to give me any input on the three Value Resorts. Good things and bad things. What is the best all around
Value Resort? What one would you stay away from?
All-Star Movies
All-Star Sports
All-Star Music
My wife and I will be making the trip alone, no kids.
Thanks

They are all very similar with the same size room and similar decor inside. The Sports and Music are a few years older than the Music. The Movies, because it is new and seems to have a more popular theme gets more business and probably more kids.
I would pick the All Star Music and choose the Rock Inn, Broadway or Jazz. If you don't mind a bit longer walk choose Country Western. If you want to be closer to the Main pool, food court and bus stop choose Calypso or Jazz.

They are all very similar. The Movies is the newest and with the icons of movies extremely popular with the kids. If I didn't have kids along, I would probably choose the Music.

I have been to the Sports 3 times and the Music once. (We have 1 child). My preference is the Sports because I like the bus service there. We were the first ones to be picked up and the first ones dropped off. Sometimes the bus goes between 2 or all three resorts so that is my best reason for liking the Sports the best. :) They are very similar though At the Music we were in the Jazz section. I thought it was a long walk at the end of a long day. At the Sports we always request the Football building. :)

Hubby and I stay at the sports (at least a dozen times now), we prefer it because it is the first one in the complex...less driving/riding. The food court is excellent, the bartender is great.

Just habit now, but we have no interest in trying the other two.

I really enjoyed the Movies. Could I make a suggestion? If you are going just the 2 of you and can pay a little more, I would strongly recommend staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. This is a beautiful resort! Quiet & romantic with all the details to make you feel like you're in N.O. I think you would really enjoy it there.

We just finished our visit to a budget resort: the All Star Movies. We had a terrific time! The theming is fun, the rooms comfortable, the food court more than satisfying.

We stayed in the Toy Story section, which was just a short two or three minute walk to the main building, and has a DELIGHTFUL set of icons in the courtyard: overgrown statues of Buzz, Woody, Bo Peep, etc, set in "Andy's Room" so it makes YOU feel like YOU are a toy! Very neat.

My one gripe: the All Stars are out of the way -- why you think they're so affordable? -- so you need to build in extra time to get to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. The Animal Kingdom is very close, though.

But we got a great deal -- $79 a night! -- so it was worth it.
