Value Resorts for PHM Weekend

Hello fellow Dis'ers!

Right now I am in the midst of planning out the details for my Princess Half Marathon 2016 trip! We are looking to book at one of the value resorts, but are unsure which to try.

We usually stay at the GF/Poly, but since this trip is a little more smaller scale, there will only be three of us going (my mom, my sister and I), and we are trying to cut back for this trip, which of the values would you all recommend?

I'm personally leaning towards LM at AOA, but if there isn't anything all that special about it, I'd rather save the extra money and just do POP or an All-Star. I have only ever stayed at All Star Movie, so any of the values would be a new experience.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

We usually do value resorts as we're an adults only group who rarely spend time at resorts and just need a clean place to rest and shower. I've stayed at all of them except for AoA and would have to say that AS Movies is my favourite cause it still has that Disney feel (with the decor) that you just don't get elsewhere. I find the bus situation among the AS resorts much better than Pop (3 resorts more buses, even though usually in the middle of the day the busses are shared). Between Pop and the AS resorts, I find the food selection at the food court at Pop better than AS.

The LM rooms at AoA would be great, but having visited the resort to check it out the LM rooms are super far from the main building which can be a bit of an inconvenience in my opinion.

I stayed at ASSports for the Princess last year and it worked out great!! Many times we were the first bus to get picked up and dropped off from the other All Stars so we almost always had a seat which was nice. Transportation to the expo and race was just fine. The night before the race they had boxes you could buy in the dining area with pre-race food goodies which I thought was nice. The only hard part was dinner the night before, we waited a long time to order pasta because everyone else was carb loading too! I am thinking about running the PHM again in 2016 and would 100% stay in Sports again. We stayed in the hoops section which was not far of a walk to the main building and was quiet because it wasn't facing any pools.

I picked POP that's where we stayed for the PHM 2015. It was myself, my mom and my daughter. The transportation for race events was great and well organized. We would definitely stay for an event again.

I said ASMusic because that's just my personal preference but the rooms are pretty much the same wherever so just pick a theme you like and book it.

PS 3 adults is the max I would put in a value room, Double size beds, only one sink, no coffee maker and less square footage, makes for some cranky mornings, much less 3 am race wakeups.
