Value Resorts and Inside Staterooms? Bah Humbug! 30 days of Disney fun! 02/10 Day 30

Lol, fair do's.

Congrats on booking your Disney Weekend in DLP. Am so excited (and jealous :rolleyes1) You must do a TR when you get back so we can all live vacariously through you :goodvibes

Day's 10-12 sound good :thumbsup2 Great restaurant choice for your last meal on land :)

Thank you! This trip came so unexpected I actually checked my computer this morning if the confirmation emails were still there or if it had been a dream! :rotfl2:
I promise to do a TR here once we are back!

Thanks for your :thumbsup2 on our last night's dinner, but we still have a breakfast to cover! You are allowed to guess WHERE we will be having breakfast the next morning! :lmao:

Wow, a weekend at DLP...sounds perfect!

I spent a weekend in Paris once. Of course, it was in Paris, Tennessee. And they don't have a Disney park. But, they do have a Catfish Festival. All you can eat! :lmao:

Oh, shucks, we have never been to Paris, Tennessee! :rotfl: We only have been to the "old" one in France a few times. ;)
And I wish they had a catfish festival there too - the food Remy the rat offers you is ........

The WORST food we have ever had! (DLRP, Rendevouz de Stars Restaurant)

Happy Birthday to you too! I'm so excited about your short weekend trip! I would love to talk to Stitch at DLRP!

Also, what are those delicious balls from Mara? Just looking at them made my mouth water!

Of course, I want yet another dining review (I'll just be sure I read it AFTER I eat).

And because tomorrow promises to be a very busy day at the office, I'm wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Karinjust a tad early in case I don't get a chance tomorrow. May your day be very magical, dear friend.

Guess EMH at the MK on Aug 20 call for a MiniDISMeet! :goodvibes At least we will all be looking for each other, but wouldn't it be fun to do 1 ride all together? Let me know what you think and and we can figure something out!

Yes! We must try to figure something out. I was thinking....Space Mountain ride? OR maybe Pirates??

I would be the same too, was it still there :teeth: Can't wait to hear all about, its very very close. Which hotel are you staying in?

Oh gosh, I can't think what restaurant you will choose for breakfast :rolleyes1 ;)

I still can't believe we are going to DLRP! We are both so excited! :yay:

The dessert from Mara are Zebra Domes! They are heavenly! Coffee flavoured little bites of goodness! ;)

Yes! We must try to figure something out. I was thinking....Space Mountain ride? OR maybe Pirates??

I think Pirates would be fun, as we could all ride in one boat together, what do you think? Maybe have a dole whip before or after so it's easier to get to know each other?

:goodvibes Thank you! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Thank you, Kathy! :goodvibes
It was a most magical day today - Tom got me a HUGE cake and it has my favourite cruise ship on it! :rotfl2: We made some photos, but they are still in the camera - need to get them posted here soon.
It has a picture of Castaway Cay on it and we started eating at the "beach" part of the cake - I CANNOT cut into MY ship! :rotfl:

Happy Birthday Karin!!!!!!!

party:party:party:

:goodvibes Thank you, Dave! :goodvibes

Hope you had a fantastic day  What did you get up to?

I have now printed it all out so I can go touch the confirmations! :rotfl: It seems so unreal that we go to DLRP in less than two weeks! :scared1:

Guess I can squeeze in the trip report here to pass the time until we "enjoy" another 10 hour flight to Orlando! ;)

You will NEVER guess the restaurant for breakfast! :rotfl2:

And :goodvibes Thank you for your birthday wishes! :goodvibes
I had a real relaxed day today. I had the day off, sneaky me worked two Tuesdays in a row, so I could have today off. So I got school stuff ready for next week, then spent a relaxed afternoon with Tom enjoying some more of my yummy cake and worked on my pre-trippie!
We don't do big presents any more, as going on our Disney trips ARE our presents! ;)

So another school day tomorrow and then I am off until Monday. Thursday is a holiday here and we often get Fridays off after a holiday - so another nice long weekend. Then I am going on a weeklong trip with my pupils (don't worry I will post little updates, we just got a netbook, so I will be able to go online during that week!) and the next weekend is another long one as Monday is a holiday and schools are closed on Tuesday as well! :yay:
Only scary thing! I'll get back from my school trip, dump the dirty laundry and repack as we leave the next day at 6am! :scared1: for DLRP!

Gosh you sound busy busy, but it all sounds good :thumbsup2

Glad you had a good birthday :) Your cake sounds lovely too and I would be the same about cutting into the ship too, like when you get a chocolate rabbit, you feel bad for eating its little ears

Tom just emailed me a photo of the cake! Enjoy!!

I missed your question where we are going to stay at DLRP. We have decided to try the new "mysuitevillage" in Montevrain. They rent out little houses, ours has two bedrooms with 4 beds, a living room, and a kitchen. It's less than 200 € for the two nights.
We have looked at it on Google Earth and it is very close to the Val d'Europe shopping center and since we have a car this is close enough.

Oh wow what a cool cake, Tom did good :)

Sounds like you are in a good location for DLRP. Do you get free parking as well at the parks?

Yes, it is a cool cake and SOOOOOOOO yummy! :thumbsup2 I need to take a photo of the cut cake, so you can see the inside.

We have stayed in the area before and it is just a 5 minute drive to DLRP, so we are good with the location.
And yes, parking is free at the parking lot AND the hotels (only exception is the Disneyland hotel) for Dream AP holders. We usually park at the New York hotel and just stroll through the village on our way to the parks.
The AP is so handy in DLRP, you get 20 % off the merchandise and 10 % off the food (doesn't matter if it is CS or TS or snack) so it pays for itself within a matter of days!

Ooh yes, it looks so yummy :)

AP's are cool and we hope to be able to be members at some point in the future for WDW, DLRP would be cool too. Really want to do DVC.

Being an AP holder is just fun! ;) :lmao: It really pays off for us as we are not eligable for the 14/21 day British passes and if you stay more than 10 days it is more cost effective to buy an AP instead of 2 sets of tickets.
It also gives you the freedom of going to a park for an hour or two. When we still had regular tickets we would never waste a ticket for an EMH evening visit.
With the AP we have just gone to a park, ride a ride or two and took off again and that was it for a day. Guess we are spoiled! :rotfl2:

Side note: In 2006 we did a trip to DLRP in June, then flew to Orlando for 2 weeks and did the west coast for another 3 weeks and during that visit we held annual passes to three Disney parks, DLRP, WDW, and Disneyland! I loved "flashing" my purse around so people could see my array of Annual Passes! :rotfl:

Awesome cake, Karin. I love it.

Thank you! :flower3: I was expecting him to do something Disney Wonder but that cake was such a wonderful idea! We started eating from the "beach" side, as I could not bring myaself to cutting into MY ship! :rotfl2:
