Great plans and all those food pics, haven't had lunch yet and you are making my stomach grumble here

:lmao: Love your comments and the stomach grumble! You do the same to me with your Lola's cupcakes! :rotfl2:

Hi Tina! Hope your weekend is as nice as mine! :flower3: The weather is just wonderful today, with blue skies and little white clouds, just picture perfect!
I am glad you all agree with my plans and yes, there is lots more to come. I need to type everything out in "word" first, so this takes a little longer than I expected, especially with work and I need to prepare ahead for some lessons as we leave for a weeklong school excursion trip Monday after next!

We will be at MK EMH that night too!! :) We are doing the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage first then will be hitting MK immediately after.

MAN that's a lot of Disney! I wish I had gotten an ADR at California Grill now! The fireworks look amazing from there. You guys are going to have the trip of a lifetime! :goodvibes

Absolutely cannot wait for this dining review! I always love yours!! :lovestruc I hope you do extensive cruise food reviews, too!!

Karin, you are going to LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the fries at the Plaza. They are the best in all of Disney (and Nic agrees with me). I'm going to try to get an update up myself later if my kids do as they promised for Mother's Day. ;)

Karin, glad to hear you're enjoying such wonderful weather. We are here, as well.

Its interesting to hear how similar aspects of your job are to mine teaching here in the states. We also have a week long trip coming up at the end of month.

Your plans sound so fantastic. I can't wait to get back to the California Grill myself. I'm pretty sure that Cali Grill and Tutto were two of my favorite meals this past trip. :thumbsup2

Loving your plans. :thumbsup2

Kouzzina is one of our favorites. We can't wait to go back. I am thinking about their avgolemono soup right now. Granted, I can make it myself being Greek and knowing how to cook, but theirs is soooo good!

Also, I started to drool looking at the zebra domes. I am counting down the days until I can get some!!!

A quick weekend update! Some important NEWS I have to share with my DISfriends!!

:woohoo: This afternoon we decided to do a short weekend trip to Disneyland Paris from May 22nd to 24th! :woohoo:

019.jpg

Last week I received two "special" offers from Disney. One offered a 20% discount off an AP and the other one offered an 18 month AP instead of a 12 month one.
In November we had decided to skip DLRP in the spring, since our APs had expired and we had gone to WDW in February. But this was an offer that we just could not refuse! 18 months of Disney fun for the price of 12 - I have never been able to resist a bargain! :rotfl2:

So today we discussed the matter, did the maths and booked two flights from our home town to Paris via Frankfurt. We got the flights for free using airmiles, but have to pay for the taxes. Our favourite hotel was booked solid, so now we are trying a new one (we usually stay in villa like resorts with a kitchen/fridge and a bit more space). The price was very reasonable and even the rental car came at an acceptable price.

020.jpg

So, here we are!
I'll get home from a weeklong school excursion on May 21st around 6pm. We will leave for Paris on the following day at 6am! So 12 hours after returning from our excursion we will be on a plane on the way to Mickey!
It is going to be a holiday weekend, so the parks will be FULL, but we have decided to concentrate on the shows and parades.
We are only 12 days out and this is so exciting! :dance3:

See ya real soon, Mickey!

Great news, Karin! :thumbsup2 It is looking quite likely that we'll be going in February 2011, a lot sooner than I had previously thought. It will be my three year old son's first trip and he is very into everything Disney right now.

So happy for you both! :cool1:

Have a wonderful time!! Sounds like a great last minute getaway!!

Lol, fair do's.

Congrats on booking your Disney Weekend in DLP. Am so excited (and jealous :rolleyes1) You must do a TR when you get back so we can all live vacariously through you :goodvibes

Day's 10-12 sound good :thumbsup2 Great restaurant choice for your last meal on land :)

Wow, a weekend at DLP...sounds perfect!

I spent a weekend in Paris once. Of course, it was in Paris, Tennessee. And they don't have a Disney park. But, they do have a Catfish Festival. All you can eat! :lmao:

We will be at MK EMH that night too!! :) We are doing the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage first then will be hitting MK immediately after.

Well, I guess that really calls for a mini DISmeet sometime during these EMH. I am sure we will figure something out, that would be SO much fun!!!!!!!!!
BTW - the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage sounds like a lot of fun! You need to tell us all about it once you return!

MAN that's a lot of Disney! I wish I had gotten an ADR at California Grill now! The fireworks look amazing from there. You guys are going to have the trip of a lifetime! :goodvibes

:lmao: Yes, I guess it looks like a lot of Disney and my plans so far are only for the first third of our vacation! ;)
We love the California Grill, it is on our must do list every year and sometimes we can even fit it in twice during a trip!j

Absolutely cannot wait for this dining review! I always love yours!! :lovestruc I hope you do extensive cruise food reviews, too!!

I am really looking forward to doing them - lots of food on the horizon! And I promise to do even more cruise food reviews! ;) We'll be on the Wonder for a full week, so lots of sampling! :goodvibes

Karin, you are going to LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the fries at the Plaza. They are the best in all of Disney (and Nic agrees with me). I'm going to try to get an update up myself later if my kids do as they promised for Mother's Day. ;)

We are going there because of your recommendation! :thumbsup2 We loved our sandwiches in February, but never even thought about fries and now I am SO looking forward to them!

Karin, glad to hear you're enjoying such wonderful weather. We are here, as well.

Its interesting to hear how similar aspects of your job are to mine teaching here in the states. We also have a week long trip coming up at the end of month.

Hey, that's funny about the school trips. Our classes do 1 week long trip every year. In their first year here at our school (5th school year) they do a "swimming trip" where they stay at a lake and they all get to achieve different levels of swimming. The following year they are doing a skiing trip. Now, I am not a big sports person, so those two trips are out for me, but this year we are doing a project week, which means that we will do different activities and they will have a trainer to do some things and the teachers will only be cheparones, so I can come along!
First day, we'll travel to a small village, Obertraun, have lunch and in the afternoon we are going to a saltmine and have a "lesson" in the mine. They actually built a school room inside the mountain, so this should be fun.
Day 2, 3 and 4 the pupils are with trainers and they go canyoning, will be at a rope garden, do some mountain climbing and so on. And on our last day we go to Salzburg to Schloss Hellbrunn to see the "watergames" there. One of the owners had secretly hid little waterspouts to splash visitors - there are LOADS of those spouts, so it should be a lot of fun and we hope the weather will be nice and warm for it!

As for Disney, we just LOVE Cali Grill as I am sure you remember from my dining reviews and Tutto is wonderful too. It has very close to authentic Italian cuisine, so it is a nice change from the usual fare.

Don't get me started about Kouzzina! Did you try their Calamari? I wish I had some now, I just LOVE that place!
And I'll leave some of those Zebra Domes for you - can't eat them ALL! ;)

Great news, Karin! :thumbsup2 It is looking quite likely that we'll be going in February 2011, a lot sooner than I had previously thought. It will be my three year old son's first trip and he is very into everything Disney right now.

So happy for you both! :cool1:

:thumbsup2 Oh, that would be awesome, if you could take your little man in February 2011! I think it is the perfect time to introduce a kid to the magic of Disney! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful time!! Sounds like a great last minute getaway!!

Thank you! We are so excited that this actually worked out! We both were not expecting it, since we upgraded both WDW stays this summer and went in February! But now I cannot wait to go! :yay:

:lmao: :thumbsup2 Interested in a mini review of DLRP? ;) Well, I guess you won't be able to escape it!
