I just saw this in a Southwest airlines email. You don't have to purchase air to take advantage of the hotel discounts (although they have some great air rates to MCO). They have to be booked by August 18, 2006. Here's what it said:
"Discover the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation and stay at a select Disney Value Resort for only $64 per night (plus tax in a standard room). Or, stay at Disneys Coronado Springs Resort for only $99 per night (plus tax in a standard room). These rates are valid most nights August 27 - 31 and September 3 - 30, 2006. "

I'm not sure how these compare to other rates, but I checked the WDW site at CSR for 9/26-9/30 and it was a lot more than $99 plus tax ($620). I tried to book the Southwest site for hotel for the same dates and the $99 rate was available. I was even able to try to book for 9/30 thru 10/5 and it gave me the $99 rate.
We just got back last week and don't go again until February.
Hope this helps somebody!
