If you had to choose a value resort if it was just you and your spouse taking a trip to Disney, where would you stay?

I would stay at Pop for sure. The dedicated bus service(doesn't share with other resorts like the All Stars do) and the food court is delicious...also the nostalgic theme is nice for adults lol. :) We enjoyed seeing all of the decade memorabilia in the shadow boxes in the check in lobby and also throughout the resort.

I would stay at music. I have stayed at all 4 numerous times and it seems to be the quietest. I have found all 4 food courts to be about the same. As for the buses, the all stars rarely share except during non peak times (say 11-4) so for us, this isn't an issue. At night time we have always had dedicated buses.

A Moderate.:rotfl2:
Sorry, just kidding.
If it were just DH and I and we absolutely had to stay Value, the only one I would even consider is Pop.
(or maybe the LM rooms at AoA if they were similar in cost)

We never stay at values, but I would pick AoA first because it is brand new and everything will be in great shape. Second choice would be POP, never been there but based on reading the boards for a few years POP seems to be the most popular choice so I would try that.

If you are considering ALL values, then Art of Animation for sure!, in one of the 4 person rooms like The Little Mermaid rooms. (not the suites). Would love to check out the brand new AoA.

Otherwise, we love Pop Century for it's bright, fun atmosphere.

My sis and I are doing a girls weekend no kids (in our 50's) and we chose Music. I certainly don't mean to offend the POP lovers, but to me Pop has more of a motel feel, camouflaged with Disney Icons. It also feels large and loud. Sorry, I just like Music better - it feels quieter and has much more greenery. If you go to allears.net you can see slideshows of each of the resorts and that might help you decide. If AOA was available for our dates, we would stay there, since it is new. Best of luck with whatever you decide. Each resort appeals to different folks, so it is all good.

Haven't been to either but I'd like to stay at AoA or Pop Century. I'd probably stay at the LM rooms at AoA to stay in budget, but if we could afford it the Lion King or Cars suites. Heard so many good things about the new resort, and Pop always has good reviews.

I am not a fan of the Values and normally stay in a Moderate, even for my solo trips several times a year. However the rooms at Art of Animation look really cute. With all the suites there though, I just wonder if the place wouldn't seem like it was over run with kids? Still if I was going to stay in a Value, I think it'd be AoA, just because it's so new.

I've been to POP and ASSp. For a couples trip I would choose POP and request a room facing the lake...

My wife and I have only stayed at values, and tbh, will probably only stay at values. We just don't see the point in spending the extra money, when the room is only used for showering and sleeping.

For our trip in October, we decided to stay at AoA, just because it was new. In '09, we both really enjoyed Pop. Then last year ASMo was fun also. We were in a Mighty Ducks themed room, so it was just as quick for us to go to the ASSp food court. To me, there is no real difference in any of the All-Stars resorts.

Once we have stayed in AoA, I wil be able to make a better judgement call as to which ones I like better. But at this point, I enjoy the scenery at Pop best.

I do think having so many suites will add more kids per parent to the mix of folks in the resort, but I'm not sure it will change it drastically. There's so many kids running around all over WDW, it might be hard to notice a change. :)

I also love the look of AoA, and would love to go check it out.

I have a feeling more folks aren't mentioning AoA on this thread just because they haven't been there yet, or forgot that it's a Value resort and is available for booking.

I have a feeling AoA will be the top recommended value resort once folks start reporting back on their stays. I think it will be tough to get into those 4 person rooms in the Little Mermaid building soon since they are priced very similar to the other value resorts. They are brand new and the themeing of the overall resort looks excellent.

We have really enjoyed our stays at POP, and love the bright over the top themeing, but are very much looking forward to POR this year. (which is actually less costly for our family of 5 due to the POR Alligator Bayou rooms, which happen to be newly renovated:goodvibes )

My favorite is POP. I love the over-the-top in-your-face Disney and I love the feeling of energy and excitement that POP has. If that is not your style you might prefer Music which is lovely, quiet and relaxing. And more subtlely Disney.
Sports was my least favorite. Not very Disney at all and our room was miles from the bus. Besides, I am not a sports fan. I have never stayed at Movies but the theming is attractive. I would like to try the Little Mermaid rooms at A of A because it is new. But I suspect that POP will remain my favorite.
